Refereeing

The refereeing in tonights city v country game was very ordinary .
high shots were the order .
i was not too worried who won as i hail from the country originally ,but i very much fail to see how Simpkins could rule that the ball was grounded in goal without having a look upstairs. From the naked eye i thought Orford may have had a 50/50 chance at the try .

I thought Simpkins had an average game, which in light of recent events/decisions would make it a 100%,A1 game.

While on the topic of refereeing, i thought Jason Robinson tonight was as lame as they come. I dont think i've seen such a poor performance from a man with a whistle. Its not like im looking for excuses for our loss either, he was pathetic for both sides:

* A failure to act on the 10 metres, or should i say 7 0r 8 metres. I saw him look at the defensive line once mayve twice all second half.........not good enough!

*Other faluires such as to make sure the play the ball area was clean, wrongly ruling players to have played at the ball, failing to put crocker on report for a deliberate cheap shot on Hodgson as he took that bomb, was bloody dangerous and no attempted was made to take the ball.

All in all, a pretty poor game by the referee, he like the tigers needs to go back to the drawring board that for him is Premier League.

I thought Robinson was pretty poor today as well. Shame because I thought he'd done pretty well last week in the eels game.

The 10m was horrible policed last night. Good thing it didn't cost us the game though.

And crocker is just about the dirtiest player in the game. i'd love to see him spend some extended time on the sideline

I still think Hodgson knocked the ball backwards last night when he fumbled that spiralling bomb. It led to a Roosters try.

He missed the knock on by Byrne at the other end.

We aren't seeming to get the close calls our way at the moment. Last night it didn't count anyway, but I hate that ahead or behind our luck is ordinary.
