Is anyone else stunned that Darius Boyd got the Clice Churchill?
I mean they're investigating illegall betting I think this warrants an investigation also. I have never seen a more undeserving award.
His stats showed 6 tackles and 14 runs, well they could have given the medal to every Roosters player then also. It's the biggest joke I have ever seen, it's like it was a consolation for not winning the Dally M

yeah i missed the announcement of the CCM and didn't know who got it. I then saw the players lineup for the photo after getting their rings and saw something hanging around Boyds neck and though WTF. I don't remember hearing his name the whole game. I straight away thought it had to be payback for the Dally M

I didn't think they could top Slater (let's give to him to prove he should be test fullback) getting it last year but wow, Boyd did 1 memorable thing in the whole game but Nightingale actually made the pass look even better!

Boyd was solid at best, It is a joke that he got the award, it guarantees him an Aussie jersey now, which i suspect was the whole point of the exercise.....

yeah i was amazed boyd won it .... i thought Hornby was probably their best

maybe boyd winning it sums up the dragons being premiers - safe and solid, but unspectacular

Congrats to the dragons they were the better team.

The referring performance was the worst I've ever seen in a grand final.

What part...referring the Conn hit, or not referring the push in the back, or the step on the line? I think they refer to much.

If only Hayne played like a Churchill medalist for our GF.

He did.

He got more metres than Slater, more tackle breaks, less errors and a try assist instead of a try.

Also put up the bomb that Billy dropped 15m out from his line with us only down by 6.

Both Hayne and Slater watched opposition players score from bombs, but Billy was also carried across the tryline by Grothe and Moimoi.

I forgot about the low standards of the Churchill medal.

Tbh, i'll be happy if he nabs the jersey from Hayne, it may fire Hayne to no end for 2011.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Or it may have a completely opposite effect by demotivating him and thus causing him to perform badly in 2011.

Imagine being one of the most talented players in the NRL and losing your position to Boyd.

Yeah bad result for you lot with the Dragons winning, the choke mantle goes to you blokes now and the "decades since last premiership" also passes onto your rabble.........enjoy.

It wasn't decades for your mob. They've only been around for 11 years. Not a bad effort all the same.

The only two meaningful chokes we've had in the past 10 years have been 2001 and 2005, and even then those are disputable.
Can't disagree with your point though :) must feel good to have the silver-ware and have it not be tainted by cheats.

I'd say we are the new chokers now that the Dragons have officially discarded that mantle.
One would point out the Rabbits, Raiders and the Sharks...But all three are too sh*t to go near that choker tag.
But because I hate the Raiders more than anything else, I will say that they are the chokers mostly because of that.
