Reflections on the spring Carnival

After watching the spring Carnival, I thought it would be nice to add a thread that we could write some reflections on the Carnival in general. To me the Carnival was just above average. The only problem with this years for me, is the fact that the was not a "moment" like Makebe Diva's win last year. Good carnival though, but not fantastic this year.

I think it was a pretty good carnival...even though i would have preferred an aussie horse to win the cup. Even though there was no magic moment like Makybe Diva last year, at least it wasnt dull. I think that the japs finishing 1-2 has been good in the sense that it has raised the profile of racing and gotten people talking.
