I think the club could benefit from Mals discipline and mental strength however I do have a question mark over his abilities as a football manager.
Has he ever been a football manager and dealt with the broader management responsibilities that come with such a role.
I just dont know whether we all have an idealised view of Mal and hope through some miracle, he will solve all our problems.
Bottomline, does he have the necessary skills to handle a football managers role, or would he be better in a advisory capacity to Hagan.
I'm not sure and I'd hate for us to make a terrible mistake based on a wondeful memory.
He may have the necessary management, planning, negotiation and organising skills to do that job............................I just don't know.
Getting Mal back to Newcastle is very good PR, but is it sound decision making?
