My Salter electronic scales' batteries have been dead for a while so bought new ones.. it requires 2 CR2032 lithium 3V batteries but no matter which way I flip them (one side positive and one side negative) they don't work... is there something I'm doin wrong or are the scales maybe wrecked?

if they have been dead for a while they could have corroded the contacts, give them a clean with something abrasive

either that or your batteries weren't the problem, you could probably take is to a jeweller or anyone who changes watch batteries and get them to check it our for you

Ok so I put the battery in the right way, put it on the floor then after pressing the on button a few times it finally worked lol... it needs to be touched in a particular way and hard now... hopefully the button actually works in the long run lol
