For those that were at the game or have not seen it yet.
Foxsports 1 @3:30

pay particular attention to the last 20 minutes of actual time where we really lost the match.
7 errors before we left the half.
3rd or 4th tackle clearing kicks anybody?

Couple of things i noticed out of the replay..

McGoldy looked dangerous when he had the ball. I like the way he alwasy carries it out in front of him with two hands.
Our short kicking game was excellent but the long stuff left a bit to be desired as mentioned. Our long kicking game definately cost us big time.
I didnt realise how much we turned over the ball. I think at one stage the commentators mentioned we had only completed 8 out of 18 sets!!
I thought Merrit actually went ok especially defensively. We should persist with him and have Rieck on the other wing.
I though Peach made a big difference. He was the one getting us the repeat sets and was very solid defensively at the back. These were two things which were lacking in previous weeks. He suffered a little in attack as he was being relied on alot, probably too much. Needs Kimmorley working as the main playmaker so he can be a bit more selective when he does his thing.

Yes NCL. Spot on with all.
On Goldy, the two hand thing is good.
the down side is you cant fend.
A quick bump & fend & maybe we could see Goldy open up.

Well that p***es me off.
I teach guitar from 4.30 Mondays (and only have two students - one at 4.30 the other at 6.00) so I leave home around 3.30 to get there and set up / warm up etc.

Well I am about 5 minutes away from work and the 4.30 student rings in sick.
AAAAAAAGH. I could have watched it!!!

The two hand thing the coach's love in Union, always telling us to hold it out with the two hands, looks like goldy is a good student.

There is another replay at 9:00am on Thursday.

But it normally starts earlier than the time stated.

Holding it in two hands is fantastic ..... if it means you can fool your opponent and break the line .... If you can't it doesn't really mean much at all does it.

McGoldy almost pulled off one of the palys of the night - in the first half he got on the outside of Carroll and drew Tate into to tackle him. As the two of them were just about to smash him he got a great one handed pass to Simmonds who spilt it. If Simmons was playing with any confidence he would have taken it and just about scored.

McGoldrick, while not carving teams up at the moment, is definitey showing some promising signs. People rave about how well Cooper is going this year - I agree, but can also remember him being around for quite a few years developing. Some players need a bit of time to find their best. If McGoldrick is in Coopers class in two years, I'm sure most of us will be happy. Sure it would be great if he were carving up now, but the potential is there and I think he is our best option in the centres.
