I can recall Laurie filling in on the wing, he did OK. Far better in game that putting a back rower there.

Injury has held him back. He won NSWRL Flegg player of the year in 2022. Despite being Eligible for Ball that year.

We'd still make the finals and Nath would still carry us to victory in the finals. So settle down and really soak in the best rugby league side and on his current path the best 7 of all time. If things go well, I wouldn’t expect Daine to get many minutes if any. Obviously the unforeseen, injury, sin bins etc may change the equation. Hopefully things go well, we play well and get the job done. I think AFB is a huge acquisition for the Sharks, he is proven as one of the best in the game in his position. We clearly come into this game underdone,with key players returning from off season surgeries and short off season. Be nice to get the two points in what I expect will be a tough battle.

all signs point to a Cronulla win

that said - the pressure is on Cronulla - their big criticism is they cant get it done over the best teams - we've done it right for the past 5 seasons.

AFB understandably is being talked up hugely for Cronulla - i hope the Leota, Martin & Kenny go after him
