Hey,
No fair locking that thread.

It is fair enough to have your say, but you have to listen to replies.

As you point out, this site is mostly a League site, which means the Union people who come here are looking for an argument. Why else would they come?

As you also point out, the Union 'apologists' are putting their points across without the debate decending into a straight out slanging match in most cases.

I think any deletions for reasons other than personal abuse, threats or libel smack of censorship, and you have already lost the debate if you have to censor out opinions you don't like.

This section is always going to be a League v Union forum. If you want to talk about Union with people who 100% support the sport, there are literally dozens of other sites devoted to just that purpose.

Other than two individuals the "Union people" on this site also love League. This forum just gives them a chance to talk about another sport that they may have an interest in.

Agreed which is why I have only ever deleted one post which contained both personal abuse and was libelous. I know LWOS and LU prefer a non deletion policy but interrupting a discussion thread for no other reason than to make a nuisence is just childish.

I disagree I thought this section was for League people who might want to talk about Union.

As I said in the other post, if any one has a problem with the way I moderate this forum take it up with Willow and Legend.

I am one league fan who occasionally browses this Union forum as I have a slight interest in the sport and it does bother me to see so many anti-Union threads. While I don't mind the threads that are posted by more fair-minded debaters, particular people have started a whole bunch of threads that in my mind can only be described as trolling. It really bothers me to see so many slanderous threads ruining this forum for Leagueunlimited users who genuinely have an interest in discussing Rugby Union. But I s'pose people are entitled to post what they want so I guess I'll just have to put up with it until these posters find a hobby.

Why would you think they are looking for an arguement? :?
