Big thanks to everyone this year who started 'PLayer Votes' threads, and greeneyed for keeping the rules well known to all. It has been a lot of fun and there has been some great arguments. 8)

Has this award been recognised by the club?

It will be. The club has come through with the $$$ and a trophy is being prepared now. It didn't look like it was going to happen but persistence paid off.

It will hopefully be presented after the Roosters game.

What a player. How many rounds did he miss through suspension? 8? and still won it.

The great thing is that he is probably the player that will appreciate the award the most. Without wanting to put a dampener on the award we voted for over the 26 rounds, some players wouldn't give a damn if they won it or not. That is the harsh reality.

Thanks for running it Thickos. I always looked forward to putting in my votes and debating who played well and who had a complete 'booga' of a match.

My early and bold prediction for next year is Michael Weyman. He will pick up votes but can he stay injury free?

Yep Rubes missed 8 weeks of football and still got the title. It speaks volumes of how dominant he is when he is out there for us - and normally our team performances lift as well.

He is a credit to the club and I think he will be stoked to have won it. He loves the fans, you could see it through his tears on Saturday.

I think many would appreciate it. I know Horse would love it!!!

If they didnt appreciate it theyd be playing for the Roosters.
