Does this mean that Hamilton HUGHES is not currently signed with Newtown for season 2005 ?

Why find another Hamilton HUGHES. Can't we make an attempt to keep him for the next season.

The Jim Beam side will never win a grand final in that competition if the side is mostly made up of young players looking for a chance alone.

There is a definate need for some on field leadership from experienced players in our previous JB sides.

What I am saying is that they now have a real opportunity to have a successful season in 2005, as hopefully the Cronulla Sharks deal will allow the JB side to hopefully play more games together as A TEAM, with some stability which can lead to good form as the players get to know each others game.

However they will miss out on this window chance unless they make serious attempts to hold onto players of the calibre of COOK, SINISA, HUGHES, ETC.

A season in the JB side for a player like HUGHES who is only young is great for player development. I just feel that we continually develop these players to an improved game performance, ( which comes with experience and time ) and when they are getting good, we just let them go without an attempt to keep them, and build a GREAT side around these NOW EXPERIENCED players, instead of getting rid of most of them, and having a whole team of 2 pointers.

We need an even distribution of both otherwise expect the same sort of unstable, inconsistant, individual form of football that has been on show from the JB side the last couple of seasons.

Its easy to bag the coaches of this side, but what they are being asked to do, with the side that has been available is impossible. Even taking injuries into full account, even without this problem, the experience has been lacking. ( Shame about CROTTY last season ).

We are a poor club with limited resources. It's a shame we aren't in a position to be competitive in all grades but that's life. We should be resigned to the fact that we have to concentrate on our greatest asset, ie. PL. However, I still feel we can be competitive in JBC and we have improved in the past 2 years.

It's just a damn shame mate, cause we have the players that have provenly showed there talent in PL, and they would absolutely carve up JB cup with some good forwards by their sides. #-o :(
