Rhino talks up Supercoach Shines

Had a chuckle when I read these comments from Rhino in yesterdays Telegraph..

Bennett's latest misfire emerged during the week when Wests Tigers back-rower Chris Heighington was said to have knocked back an offer of around $300,000 a season to instead remain at the Wests Tigers.
"Wayne rang me to ask if I was interested and told me there was a spot there for me,'' Heighington told The Sunday Telegraph after putting pen to paper for the next three years at the Tigers.
"He said he could improve my game a bit. It was a bit of a surprise. He didn't say too much except he stressed that he wanted me to go to the Dragons next year.''
Asked how he felt knocking back a legend, Heighington replied: "It's hard, for sure, but we've got an equally respected coach in Tim Sheens as well.
"They're two of the best to probably have ever coached, so it was always going to be a win-win for me

No doubt many here would agree with these comments...

Are you aware that the key players in our team would have left by now if Sheens was not here?

Do you not remember what the Tigers were like in 2000-2002 pre sheens? Or Balmain and Wests prior to that?

Does anyone remember what Hino was like when he started at the club?

Decidedly average comes to mind.

All the players have improved under Sheens, he is a good coach and manager. Just has woeful taste in assistant coaches and makes a few questionable selections from time to time.

I think the players have a dam good idea if the guy is a good coach or not, they spend hours and hours with him every day.... i certainly take Rhinos opinion over fans that think they know better just cause they have access to the internet thats for sure hahaha

If he's such a good coach he'd have made more than 1 finals series in 12 yrs
