Ricciuto calls media conference
August 08, 2007 MARK Ricciuto has called a media conference amid speculation he'll give up his captaincy of the Adelaide Crows.
After a horror run of injuries, there had been speculation that Ricciuto would announce his retirement, but he was reportedly seen attending further training yesterday.
Ricciuto, 32, and Crows coach Neil Craig will attend the media conference at Adelaide's AAMI Stadium headquarters this afternoon.
The 2003 Brownlow medallist has played just six games since mid-August last year due to injury and illness.
Ricciuto, currently sidelined by an ankle injury, has played 303 AFL games, is an eight-time All Australian and has been Adelaide captain since 2001.
