Clutching at straws much? How is this a poor attitude? How is this any different from how any other coach in the history of professional sports has handled a press conference after a losing performance?

Please point out the passage were you think something is wrong with anything Stuart said.

I don't see anything wrong with what Ricky said there. The fact he didn't try to use any excuses for a poor performance I think is a credit to him.

your an idiot, it seemed like a very well spoken, straight forward and informative interveiw to me, he didnt make any excuses for it, infact:

"We got beaten today because we played poorly."

Q: Was the heat a factor?
RS: Look, we’re not making excuses. We’re not searching for them so please stop creating them for us. We got beaten today because we played poorly.

I think that's a great attitude as a coach.

What the hell was wrong with that interview? Probably one of the best from RS in my opinion.

I have been to quite a few PC's at Suncorp Stadium where many coaches (including Bennett, Smith and Stuart) have been much much much worse than that.

Ricky didn't whinge about anything, and put the whole loss down to the fact that the Storm played a better game of footy.

I don't like you Stuart, but bravo.

I don't particularly like Ricky Stuart, in particular the attitude he often seems to have after losing (specifically because I'd like him to give a bit more credit to the opposition sometimes). But I can't find anything to really dislike him for in that article...

ive f**kin had it with stuart. i probably share an opinion with only a few people here, but im sick of his "we have new players in key positions" bla bla bla. last year the prick said after our lacklustre start to the season "i expect us to start winning at around round 13." WHERE THE f**k IS YOUR CONFIDENCE IN THE SIDE YOU ASSWIPE, f**k he makes my blood boil. now he pretty much says were done for next week aswell. oh god i cant wait to see the back of this guy. and dont gimme that "you aint a roosters supporter" bullsh*t, f**k you. sick of his whinging in general, and sick of his lack of self confidence with the team. 100% behind the players indeed.

Xwizit has a point.

Stuart asked for paitence last season yet the team executed no better as the season went on. Yesterday the Roosters were woeful in terms of attack and execution. Its hard to get the head around how a pretty talented team on paper, with a supposed super coach continue to look so dumbstruck in attack.

Now he is on about the execution won't happen next week or whatever. If i were a Roosters fan i would be a bit worried. Players such as Wing and Anasta need to step up to the plate. The Roosters always seem to play with enthusiuam yet without polish. As for the people who blame it all on Finch, he was by far and away the Roosters best player yesterday.

I know it is early in the season but theres alot fo work to be done.

All fair points.

But this year we have a new starting halfback, 5/8, lock and hooker. Give them time. Parra were in the same situation last year and it took them time to gel also. Who can forget when they were 40 nil down at H/T to Brisbane in about Rnd 6. But they eventually clicked.

Hopefully the Roosters will do the same.
