Simmons 4 sure ... Reick is deadset crap under the high ball .. That attempt to catch that bomb when Side Show Bob jumped over him, was bloody terrible !!

I bet you St George will pepper him all day long .

I also heard the report on the radio that Merritt was the only change to the team.

If it's not through injury I find this as a surprising decision as both Wingers have been going great guns.

Did Merritt do anything out of the ordanairy in reggies?

I can't see a reason to drop either at this stage. Merritt hasn't had a chance to prove himself yet. I'd bet on Simmons being dropped though.

Yeah i agree Sharkie 1973.

IMO they have both been playing at about the same level and its makes sense that experience decides who will make way if Merritt does return.

If Merrit does return you would have to assume he would add some attacking spark but everyone's concern with the wingers has been the tries they have let in. Would Merrit fix this problem? Is he ok under the high ball? and how is his tackling and positional play?

High Ball - Excellent. A former Fullback in his days Junior rep days with the Bunnies and with the Rovers. Langlands rates him as the next big thing at Fullback - provided he plays there.

Positional play is average. He has the same problems as Simmons in that area I think. By that I mean, both are used to playing Fullback and are still adjusting to the wing. His defense is nothing special, but he makes up for that with attack.

I think that Simmo will be dropped. Simply because Stinky has much more experience in firsts. Nothing to do with ability.

Thanks for that Booyah

I havent seen much of Merrit so i can only go on what other forumer's have said. Hope the wraps on him are true!

Couldnt hurt to give him a run in the top grade then with Simmons making way.

Rapes has named an unchanged line up this week

Personally I'd sack Rieck and give Simmons some more time to learn the ropes in PL and call up Merritt and Kent

I like to leave a winning side alone. Well done to Mr Raper. Only when Merritt does something extraordinary in PL or Simmons and/or Rieck do something extraordinarily bad, do I think he deserves a call up. Merritt might find it hard to get back in if we keep winning. Nice to have some depth though.

I hope they have given Reick plenty of practise under the high ball this week because saints will bomb him all game after that crappy effort against parra, he should have been dropped to PL for that

Reick is PATHETIC under the high ball and will be targeted by every club .

Experience - at what, last's weeks effort has changed game plans across the league.

He must go back to first div until he has sorted out this problem or bye, bye. That is what first div is for and we can't afford an easy option for teams in trouble against us.

Simmons looks the goods and must be given games. I hope he is kicking at every training and practicing heaps at the high ball(with Reick).
