Funny no one is complaining about the other 6 again the refs gave Canberra incorrectly against Issac Liu in the 62nd minute. Never plays at the ball. Has his back turned. Raiders get the ball back 1st tackle 40m out from roosters line. Appalling refereeing. RIP NRL indeed.

That was a Cummins classic.

He was gunning for us big time in that 2nd half. We know this.

What delicious irony that he is now being accused of robbing the Raiders!

I’ve been saying the same thing all week. The irony is that his 6 again call was designed to screw us and was compelled to change when sutton calls it. It is such a sweet moment. He is off his head. Karma.

I don't care if it's 1/10000000th of a second
Refs changing rules during a match, let alone the grand final meant Raiders got f**ked

what's next, refs deciding trys are worth 2 points during a match?
Maybe allowing 18 players on the field for the team

Lucky the refs call had no impact on the result.

"Imagine if that happened in a Grand Final"

It did.

Okay? It's going to happen. Refs are human and not perfect.

'Imagine if a player bombed that opportunity in a Grand Final' They did. They do every year. No one talks about that because people are shit and want to be whinging merkins.

If you don't want it to happen again go be a ref, everyone better go be a ref in their spare time since it's apparently so easy.

So you've given up defending the ref now it's "they had no impact"

lol

yes
No
Maybe

the raiders had their chance and the ref had absolutely no impact on it.

He made a wrong call
But that had no impact on the game because at the end of the day it was the right call.

:grinning:

Which ironically was preceded by a correct knock on call being overturned to an incorrect penalty that drastically favoured the raiders.

No one cares about that one though.

Refs didn't ignore the rules

So just to be clear, ball hits your own trainer and you get the scum feed
Roosters fans: "oh well, that's the rules"

Ref, breaks the rules and changes his call mid play from 6 again to last tackle
Roosters fans: "f**k the rules"

Actually yes refs did ignore the rules. Soliola should have been penalised for dangerous tackle on keary. Trainer irrelevant.
Agree Cummins shouldn’t have changed call on 6 again but It likely wouldnt have changed result given raiders inability to manufacture a team try in 3 finals games. We will never know. They didn’t make the most of the other favourable calls they received ie 6 again call against Liu. Strip call on sst

The refs are the sole judges of such matters. So they followed the rules when they deemed it not dangerous. That just means you disagree with their decision, but they still have the right to make that decision

What they don't have the right to do is changing their decisions mid play. Do you understand now?

It’s all open to interpretation according to the nrl refs boss lol

I'm still fascinated that people are missing the most obvious reality of the grand final; Joey Leilua causes losses. Raiders could've won if he hadn't tried to be the hero and score the winning try. Easts didn't score at the end because of Cummins, they scored because Leilua didn't get back onside and allowed a Keary, Mitchell, Tupou three on two overlap before Tedesco finished it off. I mean Jarrod Croker was the centre who ended up tackling Tedesco and he had to come across from the other side of the field.

If people want to blame someone, blame it on the BJ.

You seem very obsessed with the one rule the ref disregarded but are ok with the many others they got blatantly wrong. Perhaps your bias is clouding your impartiality.

Wrong. Someone already posted the rule proving this wrong. As he was committed before Keary kicked the ball it can't be a penalty.

You guys really need to read the rule book. This last week has just been educating Roosters fans about the rules

Judgment error vs ignoring the rules. Yeah, good point.
