It's more a case of if I think someone is a prick, which Mossop was, them dying doesnt change that, and it's remarkable how even the biggest crook, or the most offensive pleb gets suddenly talked up as a great man after they die.

But long after Mossop is gone his famous quote of "I'm sick of having male genetalia rammed down my throat" will live on.

Pretty sure he did more work on origins in the late 80's , maybe on the sidelines.

Channel 9 had the rights to Origins in the late 80's, despite 10 having rights to the NSWRL.

Ch 10 did Origin for 1 year only - 1990. I couldn't tell you if he commented that year because I got the Brisbane coverage. I think he'd parted company with Ch 10 by 1990 though.

He was definitely head caller for the first ever Origin in 1980, plus 81 and 82.

he may have been biased towards Manly but he was also extremely scathing when they weren't playing well, I saqw footage of a try that Bob O'Reilly scored against Manly in 75 and he absolutely went off his rocker at the time and described the defence as "fairdinkum joke" he certainly loved Manly but gave it to them with both barrals if it was necesary.
