I have no issue with the idea of strong under 20's comp. I like it in fact.
However realistically not all our fringe first graders will be under 20, and only a couple will be able to play in the under 20's, I don't want them having a picnic when not in first grade, the next level down cannot be to far a drop in skill level.
Of course I am happy to have a couple of young guys in the first grade team, more over I think it essential.
I remain unsold on the feeder relationship being in our best interests. Particularly if there is a possibility of relegation. What happens if Newtown collapses? Are we obliged to bail them out? If not where do our 'spare' players play? However it may well be an economic reality and of benefit. I would seek more detail, they tell me the devil is there.
Would that mean St George would become a speed hump?
Side note.
Why do the Sharks not already have a QLD cup affillate like many other Sydney clubs?
Caloundra Sharks for the QLD cup.
