Don't know him. Our halves are a mess so I suppose he couldn't hurt but I'd rather see Benji & Blair start playing like one of the best forwards and one of the best halves in the game.

Others clubs sign up Jennings, SBW, Maloney, Manu, Widdop, Dugan, Lewis, Gordon etc. Meanwhile, the Tigers snare the SG Ball halfback of the year in 2005. Why not throw Brett Firman a lifeline as well?

Nobody of quality wants to come into a team dominated by a few egos.
We will continue to sign nobody of value until things change.

Good backup as we likely will see Masada gone before June 30.

Depth also an issue for State Cup side, I believe it is they who signed him

Query- who is our back up hooker for Farah? I know its Masada but if he is going (thankfully) who can back up? Fulton? Geez, I miss Politini. I hope we can get him back. He is playing reserves with Cronulla at the moment.

Politoni only signed for one year at Cronulla, he'll be off contract at the end of the season. We should get him back.

And yes, Farah's back up's are most likely, in order:
Iosefa
Fulton
Anasta

I can't see it being this at all. Most players would love to play with Marshall and farah. It is the fact our recruitment is the worst in the comp and we just don't seem to go after the right players. It starts in the front office, which has been f**ked for years!

Eddie looked quite promising when he first came into the top grade and then kind of fell off the face of the earth

I remember those exact words out of Anastasia when he signed with us. Play with Benji blah blah blah.
Love to hear if he still feels the same now.
Our recruitment is the worst hands down. Mason was in our grasp and we needed just that.
We got cashmere.

Yeah, I recall a couple of touches of brilliance from him - 'couple' the operative word, he then disappeared, they signed Sandow from the titans.

Smeg, I assume they can, what if he starts to kill it - can WTs call him up if his form warrants it?

Eddie Paea, Souths back up halfback.

thoughts?

Souths back up halfback? He hasn't been at Souths for several years now. He's had a stint in Rugby Union.

Goes ok with ball in hand. Can beat a man and has a good kicking game but his tackling ability can best be characterised by something I read somewhere at around the time Sandow replaced him -

"Sandow may not be the greatest defender but he is better than Eddie. At least Sandow gets in front of a player and puts his body on the line."

That was a few years ago now but if his defence has improved while playing Union, that'd be just about the first time that has ever happened

Perhaps we are just not signing anyone major untill we can:

a. bleed our young guys to see who is capable to play NRL
b. clean out players we no longer need
c. waiting for right opportunity when we have money in bank and space in salary cap

This is what Roosters did right? If so....its definitely paying off for them

Another band aide solution, they have no cap space and little money so they are forced to pick up the rejects and hope and prey.
They have to slash and burn and start from the top, short term pain for maybe some long term gain
