grevs will play for qld doyen. maybe not this year, but it won't be too far away. he is a good player mate. i've got a good eye for talent. he was a little inconsistent in his first year in first grade (like a lot of young players are) but he is good. no way would i leave him out of the 17. i'd actually have him starting in the 2nd row with sutto

gray's best position is centre, yet the guy who wrote the article only mentions that he has a chance of getting a wing spot. i think he has a good chance of being on of the centres if he is over his injuries..

I think he's a gun but he's NOT in Sths future--I'd prefer to give a go to someone who hasn't signed with another club. Carter is more our future!!
If he wants to play for another club let him play for the BEARS!!

I'm being vindictive to an extent too, but that's how I feel!

the NRL 17 squad for 2016 is based on 2015 NRL form and that is it. No knowledge of player development , no knowledge of Pre Season training form . Assuming no injuries/suspensions ( a tall order) I believe our best team will surface by round 6.

If there are not at least 2/3 players new players in the top 17 i will be disappointed.

Here here.

I won't be too upset if there aren't any new players though, so long as everyone in the squad lifts up to the club's expectations.

i reckon he would have been happy to stay, but penrith offered him a deal he could't refuse, and maybe we didn't match it, or go close to matching it. i want the team to go as good as possible, and i believe grevsmuhl is in our top 17 players. top 13 players actually

well that's different! goolagong can play centre too, can't he??? perhaps leaving aj on the wing and having goolagong in the centres would be better..

AJ has put on some weight during the off season and has been training in the centres

The club probably didn't want to match it so we have enough to upgrade GI for a new contract. (I hope).

Alien you should know Madge picks a favourite pet. His is Turner. Turner will start in the 2nd row I reckon.

Madge likes impact off the bench and likes to balance the team out. I see Madge having Grevsmuhl on the bench.

AJ will be on the wing most likely if our backline is fit.

Alien mate, players train in other positions in case there are injuries and they have to cover another position.

AJ is training at centre in case Goodwin, Auva'a etc get injured and we really need a back up centre.

Yes of course he has but Madge has said he is keeping his options open for the backline, I think moving him would be a good idea gets him more involed and we need a strike centre in the side at the moment Goodwin is not one and I don't think he is the right choice anyway.

that's ok, as long as he still plays plenty of mins. he should be on the field for at least 40 mins

I like Carter for the bench--a tough skilful player who covers hooker, lock, 2nd row & would cover the halves in an emergency. I rate him a more valuable player than Grevs!

this is exactly what i thought too, except i wouldn't rule out gray getting a centre spot

Where did Madge say his options are open for the backline??????

AJ must improve his defence to be at centre. Last season his defence was ordinary.

Alien here are our realistic centre options:

Auva'a
Goodwin
A. Gray
Hunt

Crichton
AJ
Turner
Olive

Goolagong is an outside chance to play first grade in 2016. He will be ready in 2017.

Goolagong is a winger imo he shouldn't be at centre.
