So can someone confirm what happens when a player gets injured during the tournament- there can be no replacement player in the official squad?

Teams have to apply to add a replacement player after Oct 13. It's at the discretion of the tournament director to approve.

Likely to be approved only if they have a shortage of players for that position apparently.
