So, in attempting to actually buy tickets to Tonga v NZ, I cannot buy purchase tickets in Category B or Category C Seating - leaving a single seat in Category A, and general admission on the Embankment.

Its probably them trying to move the CAT A tickets as they probably haven't sold much of them

Maybe? If that were the case perhaps they would put those tickets on sale, as since this morning you are informed that there are only Single Seats available in CAT A.

In your mind it may be.The point is decent crowds in PNG and NZ.If they were ordinary, then perhaps I could agree with you.

I've spelt out my reasons why crowds are not filling stadiums here.Hardly a startling observation.
Because the biggest nation has the bulk of the players in the RLWC playing here week in week out in the NRL.Watching Farah play for Lebanon,is not going to say to people.Havent't seen him play before"must go and watch".

If the RLWC makes $7m whatever, for future development work,so be it.
And I've said the same , our constant bleating that our world cup eligibility rules are the same as every one else's mean nothing because of the domestic set up of our game , our codes stars are paraded for near 40 weeks of the year , every year , parading them again in other nations colours is harmful to the entire tournament's credibility & Australians don't , or won't cop it.

Answer
No world cups in Australia
We don't deserve it. Others who still respect the game at the international level do & should get these events.

One thing you forgot whilst i agree with some of your comments re familiarity of NRL players, the State Govts /TV stations and sponsors are prepared to pay the bikkies in Australia. Why? Because the games that are shown on FTA rate.
Whilst the code is trying to grow the code elsewhere, it needs money to do so.Sky NZ is not going to cough up the monies nor PNG TV.
Until such time as you understand the code really is in its infancy internationally ,then you'll realise my point.Money makes the world go round.

Kind of got a smattering of a point. The attendance in Australia has been poor. Probably should look to Brisbane, central coast, Newcastle and western Sydney next time around.
Really should throw open the gates with 10-20 dollar tickets where you can sit anywhere

Tickets ar either $20 or free. Hardly hard earners

Hey locals we have two games being played tonight where one team won't hold the ball int he first game and in the second game one team won't tackle.

Seriously the games tonight have been extremely embarrassing...in all honesty, the U20's game this year was of a higher quality....
