I think the Raiders will be a specialty Monday night team to be honest, especially in Sydney. I expect us to play the Roosters on a Monday night in Sydney but most Monday night games should be used for Sydney teams and possibly the Storm.

monday night games will make it virtually impossible for us to travel up to sydney to watch. surely the NRL would not be that stupid. i know for a fact the club has put in a request to have as few monday night games as possible so i disagree with you legend.

Well they can only get 3 max anyway. Raiders vs Souths at Telstra is a certainty for a Monday i reckon. They wouldn't get crowds on any day of the week.

I recall a few years ago we played the NZ warriors on a Monday night.

Think there was a crowd of about 7,000?

Raiders could get an average turnout, as its the knights.

If the NRL were smart, only 3 venues should really be considered to Monday Night Football.

Aussie Stadium, Suncorp Stadium and Olympic Park. All close to the CBD, easy to get to, and would be able to draw the neutral who wouldn't mind a football fix on a Monday cause he/she missed others games over the weekend due to other commitments.

Any other venue is just not feasible unfortunately....

What I am saying is we will be the away team at Monday night games unfortunately.

THat's what I thought they were going to do...

after some time they could divvy games out to other stadiums evry now and then..

As it is... MNF is new... and Canberra folk are being asked to go out on a Monday night after only a few rounds of this new schedule..

I bet some fans won't even know it's gonna be on Monday night until a few weeks before.

You need a really good excuse.

The Warriors are apparently exempt from home Monday Nights, i don't know why.

A note from the doctor maybe?

We've got a home game against Melbourne the week before so that will hopefully help to get a few people back on the Monday.

The one advantage of having seperate TV rights organised seperately of the Fox Sports deal.

When the NZSkyB deal comes up again for renewal (I think next year), I wouldn't be surprised if MNF coverage is brought up then, but till then the NRL or FSN can't enforce the Warriors to play on a Monday unless they can make NZSkyB agree or are prepared to pay for production costs.

Perhaps because, to fit in with the 7pm start time, the match would have to start at 5pm?

About the only reason I can think of.
