Its dissapointing we didn't see much of him in first grade this year. With Mears and Senter set to go (well at least one) it would of been good to give him some game time to prepare for next season.

We need to probably now keep either Mears or Senter (I prefer Senter) or purchase a hooker with first grade experience. I know Fitzhenry can play hooker but I wouldn't want him there full-time. We need a good defencer there.

I haven't seen much of premier league this year. But how has Farahs form been?

Farah's form this season had been good. While not outstanding it was good , looked like a threat in most games, considering his age, he's obviously still got a lot of improving to do and im sure he'll ge that done. Although the injury couldnt've happened at a worse time for him, sadly he joins a long list of injured young talent the club currently has.

He is out for the rest of the season so you won't be seeing him again this year not even if Balmain make the GF :(

Apart from that he has been dissapionting and well I guess there is a number of reasons why he didn't get a good crack in the top grade but I think his massive ego clash with Sheens didn't help his cause when they had their little one on one discussion ;-)

I am a big fan of Robbie's, I think he was playing pretty good for Balmain and was a little unlucky to not make first grade more often. However I do think he knows that their will be one less hooker at the club next year and his time is approaching. I think he still needs a little more size to be a starting hooker in the NRL, but I'm sure he will hit the weights before the start of next year.

no 1 get rid of mears and senter
no 2 swallow some pride and get the little hit man back--lincon withers
no 3 play withers and farah--one off the bench the other in the run on side

dunno bout that one coach. i think we have more than enough talent in thwe number 9 jersey.. although i would love to see withers back.

maybe fitzy will be on the bench next year covering hooker, halves and the backs?

looks like fitzy might be doing that given that the starting centres will probably be Elford and Whatuira and Marshall will play five eighth.

the Dragons, Bulldogs, Roosters, Manly, Knights, Cowboys, Sharks, Warriors and Raiders all use hookers on their bench.

It is unfair to say that farah was dissapointing this season. He made few errors and came up with the odd break. His form was also building all season and has added a very good short kicking game to the rest of his skills. By the time he was injured against manly he was the tigers biggest attacking threat. He is a massive loss for balmain first division and will start as a first grader next season.

Brisbane use Neville Costigan there every game.

Parramatta and Souths have done this at times as well, with Kearney and Webster on their benches.

And to a lesser extent, Melbourne, with Cronk playing a few agmes there.

So thats every team except Penrith.

So Ide hardly see playing with one hooker to be normal.
