Robbie Farah under injury cloud

April 03, 2008

WESTS Tigers hooker Robbie Farah is in doubt for Monday night's NRL clash with Penrith at Campbelltown Stadium due to a back injury.
Farah did not train with the Tigers at Concord Oval today and coach Tim Sheens has given his main playmaker until match day to prove he has recovered from the back complaint.

Stuart Flanagan has been put on standby if Farah is ruled unfit to play on Monday.

STAFF TO KEEP EYE ON FARAH
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wests Tigers coaching and medical staff will monitor the progress of hooker Robbie Farah leading into the round four clash against Penrith at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Monday, April 7.

Coach Tim Sheens revealed today that Farah has got some health issues and has undergone treatment.

“Robbie has had some issues with his back. He will have ongoing treatment. We will just have to wait and see,’’ Sheens said.

“Stuart Flanagan has been training with us. We will know more on Sunday as to whether Robbie will play or not.’’

Sheens said he has warned his team to show plenty of respect to Penrith despite media reports about their players being unhappy.

“It doesn’t matter who they are or what sort of problems there are inside the club,’’ Sheens said.

“Most players put these things behind them and if you don’t turn up to play, then it makes it easy for them to put it behind them.

“They came out last week against Souths and played pretty strongly, particularly in the forwards. If you don’t do a job there, they will get a roll on and get a sniff.’’

Wests Tigers captain Brett Hodgson urged supporters to head out to Campbelltown for the team’s first home match there this season.

“I love playing at Campbelltown. The surface is great and they have the new lights in there now, so it is going to be exciting,’’ Hodgson said.

“We underperformed last week and we know what we have to do to rectify it.

“Hopefully we can get a win up for our supporters, especially for those in Campbelltown.’’

Ok, I'll say it.

"Great, now the ball won't even get to the half-back, let alone the backline."

Hahah no Benji, no Farah and that utter utter utter f**king cretin john morris running things. Yeah real confident. We'd get beat by the berala bears under 8s whilst ever our f**king dope of a coach refuses to admit morris is not a halfback's pube

Flanno didn't play today so he must still be in doubt. Head, Trimarchi and McDonnell all played so won't be backing up on Monday
