ROBBIE Farah has joined fellow NRL star Anthony Minichiello on the sidelines with a chronic back complaint that is keeping the pair out of action indefinitely.
Recurring back pain yesterday ousted Minichiello for at least a fortnight, and although Farah was
named Wests Tigers' halfback for this weekend's game against Canberra, the dynamic playmaker is no certainty to return because of a similar injury.
Having watched back surgery ruin Minichiello's past two seasons, Farah has vowed not to risk going under the knife. He has even sought out the Roosters fullback for advice and last night said he would not tackle the Raiders unless symptomatic pain in his left leg disappears before Sunday's 2pm kick-off.
"I don't know when I'll play again. I won't play until my symptoms are gone,'' Farah said. "I'm hopeful (of returning) but if I'm not confident I won't play. I don't want to rush back and make myself unavailable for the big matches at the end of the season
