That's deadset smashed.

If you pause it right at the start you can see his nose is crushed in. :-s

I can't remember who inflicted it, but who ever it was they didn't miss

Did he need surgry on his nose? I think I remember the game he did it in, it looks to much worse when you watch it again.

It was round 7 2003 against the tigers. A flying Lenny Beckett smashed his nose with his elbow/shoulder. It was put under review but was later deemed an accident. I believe there was some malice in the incident. As robbie was trying to regather a grubber Beckett charged into him shoulder and elbow first. Poor robbie's nose copped the impact. The doctors who treated him said it was the worst facial sports injury they had seen, even comparing it to james hird's fractured head. In all he had a broken/demolished nose, a proken pallet(roof to the mouth), a fractured jaw and several teeth missing.

You are slightly confused R&BK. Lenny Beckett was playing RU at the time, I believe you meant Robbie Beckett. I also seem to remember the point of contact being somewhere on Beckett's head, hence the blood pouring from the laceration which I seem to remember was on the side of his head.

As far as I can remember you're assessment of the injuries is accurate however I am flabbergasted that you would deem it to have been inflicted on purpose. Admittedly I am not aware of customs and practises in "Newcastle", however, in Sydney it is not common practise to slice our heads open on purpose.

An AFL one for you.

Jade Rawlings for the Western Bulldogs, marks the ball, head goes straight into ground, nose is f**ked, gets up kicks the goal from 10 metres and then goes off with the blood rule. Would almost be as bad as ROD.

Round 17 Western Bulldogs vs Collingwood 2nd quarter if you want to search it.

There's a difference between an aborigine taking a drug once at a party whilst drunk and a player taking an illegal performance enhancing steroid before a game.

What has his Aboriginality got to do with anything. You have a very good argument, and you ruin it with this "aborigine" statement.

Its 2004 mate,not 1788..........

So if I removed "aborigine" it would be a good arguement?
