You were a fool, because at the time of printing all that was stated by the roosters and bigleague was FACT, a concept you have difficulty grasping.

As to what happened after that, it was due to al last minute bid by souths of $250g, if the roosters matched that then hegs would have stayed and roberts would not be within cooee of bondi.

Why should i apologise, i have put fact behind my comments, facts that came directly from the board. So really rather than being right, you were just plain lucky that this happened this way.

Now having had a bit to do with newspapers in my time, A journalist's prerogative is a saying that is used quite a bit. If you want to believe that the Roosters paid $250k a year for a bloke who has had 1 good season out of the last 4 then go right ahead. The mere fact that Roberts signed for 4 years should tell the less dumb amongst you that Robert's fee would've been substantially less given the longevity of his contract.
