ROCK AGAINST HOWARD – Out now on F’ckAll Records through Shock, the record company of the revolution.

cover.jpg

Rock Against Howard is a compilation of musicians who are downright sick of the Howard / Liberal / Coalition government and the evils they have perpetuated against our lovely country, and many other countries.

And here’s the tracklisting. Some old, some new, some exclusive and unreleased, all of ‘em part of the good fight, the fight against the oppressive, repressive Howard government.

1. H-Block 101 – Reason Why?
2. Bodyjar – Is It A Lie?
3. Something For Kate – Best Weapon
4. The Givegoods – Collar to Colour
5. David Bridie - Nation
6. The City Lights – A Big Star
7. Peabody – A Resurrected Man
8. 78 Saab – Sound of Lies
9. Even - Sunshine Comes
10. Sulo - Wash

12. Razel – The Arse Song
13. The Resin Dogs – Rebel feat. Abstract Rude

13. The Reservations - Calling Out I’m Through
14. George’s Bush – Evil Little Man
15. Major – Liar
16. Eddie Perfect – John Howard’s Bitches
17. The Thighblasters – How’d You All Get To Be So Dumb?
18. Too Green For Summer – I Don’t Believe It

Thirty odd shit hot Aussie artists, from all over the musical sphere, coming together against the common evil, as usual, the bloody libs. We’re not saying vote Labor, we’re not saying vote Green, we’re not saying vote Democrat or Socialist, just don’t bloody vote Liberal.

Australians let us all rejoice, for we are young and free. Free to raise our collective voice, and give the arse to our little mate Johnny. C’mon, do it for Australia. Your countrymen, countrywomen, and your whole damn country will thank you.

lindsay from frenzal has got this up and running, much in the same mold as fat mike from nofx with his rock against bush. good idea but not liking alot of the artists

It's good they've gone to all this effort to organise something to express their viewpoints. Not a huge fan of any of those bands, barring Mindsnare, as what I've heard as great bloody hardcore.

I havnt even heard of most of those bands apart from Bodyjar, Something For Kate , Frenzal, Mindsnare, H-Block 101, Pauline Pantsdown, unpaid debt and tism.

I'm guessing Lindsay was trying to get this album to appeal to all kinds of music fans instead of a punk audience like the Rock against Bush compilation was appealing to.

Very good complilation I must go out and buy!

Any idea where the proceeds go? To the artists or to some sort of organnisation against Howard?

I know a few of the folks in some of the bands on there but to be honest bands being against the current government is a tired and predictable notion. Mark Latham is all sweetness and light? Bah... More grants for skinny middle class boys with problems they express through song! Huzzah!
