I think his past his used by date.. although i think he can occasionally be a good player for them, i just dont see him being able to do that consistently.

How old is he again? 35-36 or something.
i see him in the Ewing, olojuwon class in their last few seasons. Players who were out of their prime and unfortunatly struggling for consistency and became just average players for those last 1-2 years of their careers.

Still, backing up Yao he won't have to play much. Maybe he can be valuable in a limited role.

Yea hes a good solid addition for when Yao gets in foul trouble IMO.

I think he is also there for Yao to learn off in practise. Might have to go for a Rockets 55, to match my Nuggets, Hawks and Nets ones .

Yeh Patrick Ewing was helping out Steven Hunter when he was at the magic warming the bench.... unfortunatly Hunter has yet to be anything in this league.

Yeh i gotta agree. I was about to add that to my post, much like many other players who have left orlando and turned good. If he does come around though he wont be any more then a backup centre.
Geez Battie better do something decent this season. To think we gave up gooden for him im still scratching my head about that one!
