It could be argued though that these three while being decent musicians, basically hitched a ride on the songwriting talents of Nikki Sixx, Hetfield/Ulrich and Axl Rose respectively. None of them were particularly central to their bands' success (withthe possible exception of Lee).

True, however in order to be with such bands at their height speaks levels for what talent they must have.

If Tommy had a little dick he would've been out of the band

You're kidding right? have actually seen Tommy drum, forget about c**k sizes, Pamela etc the guy is an amazing talent on drums, he's the by far and away the best i've seen & heard.

You're kidding, who are they again? lol

Tommys druming influenced more drummers then......the guys above who i have never even heard off, who can forget Tommy's drumset coming into the crowd ad rolling and him flicking the sticks up side down whilst still playing, senstational.

BTW

Mong that doesn't mean anything, to be chosen to be in such a band that has sold 35 million plus albums speaks volumes about his talent

So? at the time Ringos druming wasn't considered terrible and his style complemented the Beatles, times have changed however, Since the Beatles their have imo been three distinctive drummers, Bonham, Alex Van Halen, Tommy Lee, these 3 brought a new dimension to drumming and all three of them are probably the 3 most highest profile drummers you'll hear off ( and before you ask Tommy was very much a god at the drums before he started dating Pamela & Heather)

Tommy Lee is a great drummer, probably top 10 material but doesn't rate against the top two IMO 1. John Bonham and 2. Keith Moon.

Anyone seen the advertising billboards for thed show at Sydney bus stops? They show a picture of a microphone sticking suggestively out of a pair of tight leather pants and the words: "with Tommy Lee on board, you know it's going to be BIG"

I have to say... im a huge fan of the OLD INXS, and Metallica, Guns and M Crue, and the first ROCKSTAR was excruciatingly painful, but this one is looking good, there is a couple of ok singers in the bunch (an aussie included, and this chick "Dilana" who did the best cover of "Lithium" ive ever heard) and the actual members of Supernova are a plethora of talent, only one thing sh*ts me about this show... and he is in the form of 'Dave Navarro'

Hi, Good to see someone else liking it. I hated Series 1 as well, I used to like Metallica, Gunners, and Motley at the time, so it was always going to be interesting for me. Sure they are selling out, but seeing them and their reactions to new singers is great. Navarro wears more makeup than brooke burke, his comments are really weird, well all their reactions are, thats the beauty of the show, seeing what rock and roll cliche comes out of their mouths each time.

I think its a three horse race, Dilana, Toby, and Lukas.

I just wish the other Aussie that won the Australian finals got his work visa in the US. He was better than all singers on the show.

Apparently discussions are being finalised about the next series, which will feature the remaining members of Nirvana.

Lol sure, Novesalic is fan and bald these days and Grohl fronts some little band called the Foo Fighters I think.

As for the series, what the hell is different from the last? The artists are singing the same crappy songs as last series, still not a single Zeppelin song from a supposed rock show.

The only entertaining thing on the show is Jason Newstead and I mean entertaining in I'm laughing at him not with him kind of way. Along with Gilby Clarke and Dave Navarro, they're all living off the good names of Guns 'n Roses, Metallica and the Red Hot Chili Peppers which they contributed f**k all to in the grand scheme of things and in the case of Navarro, he nearly destroyed them.

Rockstar Supernova = Really bad karaoke.
