I think we need more penetration in the back row and lock.
Ise and Bickers work hard in defence for sure, but offer stuff all in attack.

When you've got Stevo, Nuts and Williams working it in pairs early I believe we need one more guy hitting it hard out wide from the back row.
Lomu CAN do it, but hasn't been consistently. Galls hits the line hard and can offload, Bailey (when he plays there) can also cause some problems.
Hilder is solid but unspectacular. Dumas could be something (but needs more time). And I haven't seen enough of Reece Williams yet.

For mine it's the bench players / fringe first graders who let us down in that department.

Oh and one more mongrel prop wouldn't go astray (Newton is my pick on what I've seen so far)

Whatuira has, i think, been given permission to negotiate with other clubs already. I think we should look at getting him. Although not spectacular he is a solid player, has won a premiership and would not let anyone down.

Grab Whatuira, he is solid in defence, he is pretty quick and is good in attack.. Also he wouldnt cost a heap of money..

Why wouldnt the Panthers re-sign him?
There is a possibility Girdler is retiring as well. He may have had second thoughts or who have the Panthers got their eye on?
Lang isnt known for turfing players either.
