Add the experience of Nathan Smith, Geoff Daniela, Sonny Tuigamala and Adrian Davis and it is easy to see why St Marys have lost only 1 game in RMC.

RMC 30 beat Qld Rangers 14. RMC started very strongly, running up a 22-4 lead in the first 20 minutes but it was fairly even for the remainder of the game. Mounties prop Rod Coates did not play, being replaced by Clayton Williams, who has played one 1 game for Hills. Wynnum's Aaron Booth did not play for the Rangers, after he won the man of the match award in last week's Qld Cup televised game.

Christian Bate has just gone in for his 14th try for 2017 to put Belrose in front 30-24 with 14 minutes left.

Blacktown were behind 38-18 midway through the 2nd half and won 42-38 with a converted try right on fulltime - 7 tries each.

Now Jesse Offen has run 40 metres to score, Belrose 34-24 6 minutes to go. Matavesi in for Moorebank, 3 minutes to go 34-28. Full time 34-28.

To add to Mounties growing injury list in RMC, they have now lost Magnus Stromquist, who played NSW Cup for Wenty today in their 36-18 win, ironically against Mounties.

RMC vs Qld Rangers

The NSWRL's Ron Massey Cup Representative side has made history at Pizzey Park on the Gold Coast this afternoon, defeating the Queensland Rangers for the first time in the three-year history of the annual fixture. The final 30-14 scoreline was in stark contrast to last year's 11-4 defeat for the RMC Reps, with an offensively-strong NSW outfit making the most of momentum for the majority of the contest.

It didn't take long for the NSW side to open the scoring; after earning a penalty in a strong attacking position, Cowen Epere burst through for the first try of the day. With a straightforward conversion for five-eighth Chad O'Donnell, it was 6-0 in favour of the visitors.

The Rangers, however, would soon hit back in their first attacking raid. Matthew Duggan was the man to reigster Queensland's reply, unconverted for a 6-4 score.

Calls for a Queensland knock-on were ignored when the RMC Reps were deemed to have illegally stripped the football, gifting the hosts a penalty to get out of their own end. When they failed to find touch, however, the dynamic attack of NSW did its work; fullback Donny Thompson made a break down the left edge, finishing the movement himself to score under the posts.

The momentum sat with the visitors after 15 minutes and some fine work from hooker Soni Luke soon got the side's third. A grubber and regather from the dummy-half earned a half-break for Luke, who then chipped into the south-western corner for winger James Gammidge to score. Another successful conversion from O'Donnell brought scores to 18-4.

As the first quarter of the game came to a close, the RMC Reps brought out a trick which was always going to feature in their attacking arsenal. O'Donnell placed a perfect chip for left winger Maika Sivo, with the Fijian leaping high above Pizzey Park to bring the ball down and score. O'Donnell's conversion attempt hit the upright, but the visitors then led 22-4.

With the Rangers' last-ditch effort at posting more points coming undone with a dropped ball, the teams headed into the sheds with the RMC Reps leading four tries to one.

The second half began with some strong NSW defence, putting their opposition back on the back foot early, while errors began to creep into the visitors' attacking game. Some solid returns from Sivo and Thompson were the highlight in the early stages of the second half, before the side got themselves back onto the scoreboard via centre Atini Gafa. O'Donnell's conversion attempt from out wide just cleared the crossbar, taking the scores to 28-4.

The errors continued to affect the NSWRL side and they soon found themselves back on the defence. Mark Speechley's men were unable to sustain the pressure, with James Sharkie splitting the defence on their right edge. A successful conversion from Duggan reduced the RMC Reps' lead to 18.

Possession and field position then swung the way of the away side, thanks to back-to-back forced dropouts. A Queensland penalty then handed a simple two points to O'Donnell, who took the lead back out to 20 with just 10 minutes remaining.

A line-break to Thompson almost saw the RMC Reps score through Tony Satini, who was driven into touch, but the result was all but decided in the dying stages. Tempers began to get the better of the Queensland side, who scored a late consolation try via winger Ono So'Oialo, but the RMC Reps would then play out the game to finish 30-14 victors.

Yeah Thirlmere have a strong side with other decent payers like Eddie Paea, Sione Tovo, Jordan Tongahai, Jay Bonnell and Dane Coskerie. They are running 3rd behind Picton and Mittagong. Gallant is playing with Narellan, who are struggling in 7th spot in an 8 team comp.

The bottom 2 put in good performances on Saturday. Auburn led 2nd placed Wenty 24-18 with 15 minutes left but could not close it out. Cabra trailed 10-8 at half time but exploded with innovative play to score 3 tries in the opening 10 minutes of the 2nd period to hold a 24-10 advantage and despite counter punches from Wests, maintained the margin. All the backs looked good while Kisi Taulani produced some big plays in the tight stuff as did Kenny Ahovelo and Taku Simon as Cabra produced their 3rd win in the last 5 games.

CBGW were in control for most of their game with Mounties and led 22-10 at the break. An arm wrestle developed on resumption but the sin binning of a CBGW player for holding down a tackled player allowed Mounties to even up by scoring twice. With a full compliment restored CBGW resumed their control and despite a late try to Willie Mataka, CBGW held their nerve.

If the NSWRL website is accurate Guildford were in front 30-6 before half time and somehow managed to allow Blacktown to take the points and in the final game, St Marys continued their domination despite the absence of regulars Mason Cerruto, Soni Luke and Maika Sivo, who all played NSW Cup on Friday night as well as Adrian Davis, serving a 2 game suspension.

After 17 weeks, St Marys have won 10 of 11 games, Wenty is next with 9 wins in 12 games (after losing the first 2) and then Hills with 8 wins from 12 games.

At the bottom end, Cabra have 3 wins from 13 games, Auburn 3 wins from 11 games, Wests 3 wins and a draw from 12 games and Guildford have 4 wins and a draw from 11 games.

Given that Wests has a bye that weekend, it may have been done to free up Auburn to play their deferred game from round 3.

Was at the CBGW game yesterday. As mentioned it was a real arm wrestle of a game. Wolves were a bit lucky in that each time they got near the line they scored, which wasn't too often in the first half but made it count on the scoreboard!! Mounties looked bigger and stronger but weak up the middle of the ruck and Wolves smaller forwards too advantage of that and there were some good breaks up the middle which lead to Wolves tries.

Fair effort as they only had a three man bench and their regular coach is having a holiday on the sidelines thanks to the NSWRL!

Blacktown has lost another player with Ray Lesoa making a good debut in CBGW's win over Mounties. Another Blacktown player, Josese Rika played SS for Wenty after being out of the game for several weeks. On a positive note for Blacktown, Marli Sini returned against Guildford after a 10 week absence and John Tuitahi became the second player to Join from the Newtown/Cabra coalition.

Ex Asquith utility back Jack Hawkins debuted for Auburn against Wenty after starting the year with Berowra A Grade.
