Lockyer is the stand-in captain. If Johns had been fit, Lockyer would have been Vice Captain. So he's standing in for the guy who is injured.

Understand?

You know Lockyer would be classified as the stand in captain if had to cover for one game or maybe two not two years of Tri Nations, believe it or not Krupa he has been captain for quite a substantial amount of time. The matter here isn't that if Johns had been fit cause he wasn't fit and Lockyer was, truth be it, the time of Johns captaincy has probably passed him by while he was injured those last couple of years.

I am not a Brisbane Fan nor a Knights Fan. I simply live near Newcastle and support the Panthers so I have no bias but listening to your comments kind of reminds me of almost every knights game I have been to. You complain about anything and everything if the slightest ball sway doesn't go your way. Hell I have seen a ref booed off after you guys were wining quite substantially.

People bag Panther players all the time hell even I do it.

But I also listen to reason.

Like I said before Joey is probably the greatest ever to have played but I don't think he should take the captaincy away from Lockyer who has handled the captaincy whilst Johns has been on his 2 year injury run.

Don't think about who would do a better job and who plays for who think that he has held it for that long and has done a damn fine job, I don't care what deal was made or whatever I think it would be a great injustice for anyone but him captaining next season.

I have no doubt that Andrew Johns is the same type of player.


And my view on the captaincy? They both have to be picked first (no guarantee either will be there).

i definatley think joey is someone you tell your kids you played with but i think for buderus it would be different playing with lockyer cos he plays with joey week in week out.

i still really think joey is a better player, take nothing away from lockyer he is a great player but i just think johns is better, not alot though.

everyone has their opinions about which is a better player and it will be great to see joey and lockyer up against each otehr again this year
