Seriously..... In all forms of ball in hand football the roos would punish them. The ALL Blacks are rubbish these days and seriously slow. It would be a massacre and the only way it would be a game is if the rules favoured Yawnion.
f**k Union. Let the game die a slow death in the Southern Hemisphere.....

Meninga's response to this was pretty spot on "play more internationals, not this gimmicky bullshit"...

Good to see Mal is really pushing the Roos as the pinnacle of the game. The last few coaches seemed to just turn up and take the paycheck, Mal seems to genuinely want to boost the profile and reach of the Roos brand.

Looks like its gonna pay dividends for the Roos to have a coach soley committed to the team; rather than a club coach turning up for a few weeks, Mal's legacy is entirely what he can achieve with the Roos. So he is gonna be doing whatever he can to promote the team and run matches.

This rubbish is trotted out every twelve months. According to the NZ Herald the NZRU have not had any discussion with any promoter in the past year. To them it is a non event.

Yawn!

This is disrespectful to the NZ Kiwis and the Wallabies (not that I care about the Wallabies - although the Kangaroos doing what they can't would be funny).

The Kangaroos will easily get out of their own half playing league rules and then probably struggle to retain possession in the AB's half but the AB's will struggle to make ground in either half against the Kangaroos defence. In fact, once the union rules kick in, in the Kangaroo's half the AB's will go nowhere against a Kangaroos defensive line that doesn't have to retreat 10m. It will probably just become a boring kick-fest decided on penalty goals - so in essence, a game of RU.

Other than those reasons, I don't want this to go ahead whilst we are trying to demonstrate to Sports Accord that the Kangaroos play a different sport to the All Blacks. This will not help our cause.
