Two new recruits? Joe Kelly has been on board for 12 months. Try and keep up.

The tissue business must really be booming since our Premiership win given all the tears that have been shed by opposition fans since.

And then there's the anti-chafing cream to treat all the butthurt.

That must be flying off the shelves faster than baby formula these days.

I hope the Roosters stadium gets knocked down and never rebuilt.
No. I hope it gets knocked down and rebuilt in Adelaide.

Nah Tommy . . . actually the Chinese anti-chafing cream ( called Ming Ming No Sting ) is a far superior product to the Australian version, and is available at a much cheaper price.
But how proud you must be to support a club that exists to help the downtrodden. Is there a way for me to donate to this worthy and noble cause ?

I've always wondered how much we pay Fitzy to run the water and Mini to do 2 pre-games a year

I wondered that about Matt King the first couple of years after he retired with us.

Like Saints with Hornby and Young as junior coaches. But shush...no one else does it.

Anyone want to make a list of clubs that have been smashed for Cap rorts?

It's getting longer and Easts are still nowhere to be seen...

Keep on sookin spuds
Well, you DID employ the NRL Cap Rort officer.
Youse would have to be as dumb as hammers to get caught with him in your corner.

The Roosters are fairly smart operators (at least relative to NRL politics rather than the bigger scheme of things, remember they are a small/dumb club when compared to most AFL clubs) in a league full of unbelievably dumb clubs.

There's no doubt players get kickbacks for playing for certain clubs.
The difference is clubs write it in 2 contracts, some do dodgy deals, some have a folder labelled CHEATING FILE which they record meeting minutes into... but the smart ones don't write anything.

Imo we get away with signing and keeping the players we do on reputation.

Easts has a reputation for the highest standard facilities. Consistently high results raising rep footy chances. Training camps in Paris. Quality post-footy employment opportunities. Strong connections to wealthy sponsors and corporate identities.

There's no need to write any of this in contracts.
No player has ever sought a release from Roosters over 'unpaid TPAs' as we've seen at other clubs.
Politis is well known for his preference for handshake agreements.

It all adds up. Failing that, brown paper bags are impossible trace ;)

Btw if anyone thinks other clubs don't do the same they're kidding themselves.
Souths have wanted to be like us for 40 years, and Penrith is run by Politis' right hand man.
