Roosters poaching Kurt?

Actually its not the same group that signed up Smith anymore.

Once again, Kaz, its not Gidley's management talking this up. Why would they put themselves in hot water by saying they're talking about it?

Now the rumour is Riddell is Rooster bound, more like Red Rooster or Big Rooster.

Nice call Kaz

I think Gids is doing an excellent job at the moment. His kicking game obviously needs work but that will obviously come with practice and time. If he gets snapped up by another club, we'll just find another quality player to take his place as we always do.

(lets not talk him up too much.$$$$$$$)

To quote Kidley in today's Herald
Note:not clear of when it was said :?:

"I've lived and grown up in Newcastle and played my first footy at the knights,so that's obviously where I want to stay."
"But there's still bigger and better players in front of me to be signed first ,so I've just got to wait my turn and see what happens then ."

Offers have been made to Woolnough, His manager has said he is confident Wooly will sign, the offer is for three years. Kidley has an offer on the table along with Tahu, their negotiations are on hold until their manager returns from overseas, Ennis and Matt Kennedy have both been made offers. The only outstanding ones are Kennedy and Johns. Kennedy has been put on the back burner until the Knights know what Johns is doing, All this was reported in todays paper. So it seems if Johns stays Kennedy will get a much reduced offer, if Johns goes Kennedy may get a better offer, it's good to see that the club isn't sitting on it's hands until Johns makes up his mind. By the way the "I want it finalised by the end of May" statement by Johns looks like going out the window, his manager said they are no closer to any sort of agreement.

The article was in the Newcastle sports section of the Sunday Telegraph. There was also some info on the injuries to O'Davis, and Kennedy. I also forgot to mention that the club have put offers to Daniel Tilse, and Reegan Tanner.
