I don not jump on the anti-Finch bandwagon, but have to say...Origin he may have played, but Origin Player he is not.

Pen, with the caveat first up that I would dearly love to have retained Finch for the Raiders, and I that I think he is a better half back than anyone on our books at the moment (with the jury out on Carney), I do not agree that Finch is set for Australian duties. He is a fine player, but is a long way from the kind of consistency that sees a player in dark green (as opposed to the lime colour further down, where it often appears in recent times that you just need large shoulders and a pulse).

I'm not sure if I wish Finch well (former Raider, seems very talented) or ill (undeniably an unpleasant and shockingly arrogant young chap), but I think he will have hard seasons ahead whatever happens, and will have to step up significantly on even his current form to shine in at Fittler-less Roosters. Australian jersey? That is a number of steps down the track from here.
