Overall not a bad effort. We didn't give up in defense, (thanks to Beau's influence) we would have been lapped in past seasons. Forward strength and depth is good. Put Foran in for Kelly (who I hope not to see in first grade again) and we look a hell of a lot better

That's the thing the stats at full time show there is bugger all in it. Apart from run metres ( Broncos made about 200m more then us) everything as close.

They actually missed 28 tackles compared to our 16. And they made 12 errors to our 11.

Obviously the Broncos were too good and obvious favourites for the comp. But really the main difference was the halves. They had theirs, we had one out and one only for 40mins.

We will improve.

You've always defended the coaching staff and mediocre players over the past few years. If they were doing the right thing then why have we been so terrible? We've seen Kelly play since 2013. Anyone who's seen him play since that time should know we aren't getting anywhere with him in the team. Are you saying trying something new wouldn't have been worth s go?

Lost Foran before the start and Norman at halftime. They scored off a forward pass from Glenn to Oates. Defensively, given the disruption, it was good scramble. It was an ordinary game of football overall from both sides. Disappointed but not disheartened. Ken Edwards should play halfback before Luke Kelly ever does again.

Oh and anyone wondering why we didn't throw more money at Paulo only had to look at that game.

Not to disappointed with that effort lost Foran before the game and Norman at the half and only silly errors cost us in the first half we never gave up and kept trying for the full 80.
Though Mau and Edwards were our best and Pritchard was awesome of the bench and Kelly was Shit!

Oh well, no halves won't win ya games. shouldve snuck Hayne on in the 2nd half

Yep and let's not forget probably 20% of our cap is on the sideline

We will win plenty of games this year. Scott was great in defence. Foran is probably the best defensive half in the comp and will give us plenty of options in attack. It was smart not to play him. I was really disappointed in Gordon. Maybe the head knock slowed him. Gee I love Pritchard. I would have him over Peats anyday of the week.
