When a ball is bombed towards Ravalawa or behind the line I’m sure I stop breathing everytime. I’m pretty sure late last year there was a game where he tried to “volleyball spike” a bouncing ball across the field from about 15 meters in front of our tryline. Love his dodo smile but fair dinkum the guy is an 80 minute heart attack every week

A great team does not have any heart attack players. We have the likes of Ravalawa and a few others and that is why we are not a great team. Eliminate the heart attack guys and then we can watch a game knowing that the mistakes will be very minimal and you can enjoy watching the game. Some players just cannot handle pressure.

I think a bloke like him who hasnt played all that junior footy has a lot of room to improve
Blokes like aitken who have 10+ years of derp though .. different story.

My take on Ford vs Fuimaono ...

Tyrell is hard - might not have the long minutes but the minutes he plays he will hurt people ..
Ford can play longer minutes and developing into a quality player but i dont think has Tyrell's raw power/aggression.

If it were a choice of starting forward then i would go Ford as i think he can play 80 with decent output
but if you want a bloke to cause carnage for 10-15 a half then tyrell is the bloke ...

he also looks like he can play in any third on the field so has utility value.

given our middle forwards and Kerr/Korbin being out you could even go with Frizz in 13 .. however host did play well at 13 ...

To me the choice is actually between Ford and Host.

So a backrow with Ford, T Sims and Frizell, would go well with Tyrell coming of the bench for 15 to 20 minutes a game.

1.lomax/Sailor
2. Saab
3.willame
4.Rav
5.Sailor/Lomax
6.Norman
7.Clune/Hunt
8. Jimmy G
9.Hunt/Luke
10. Vaughn
11.Friz
12. Fuimaono
13. Brittain/Luke
14.Lawrie
15. T.Sims
17.Kerr/Tyrrell

Brittain at lock because he showed enough in CS to deserve a start as did Fuimaono couldn’t leave out Luke as he is aggressive and we need it and Clune because Norman goes shit at 7 and Merrin out for another week or so to get fitter as he looked like he struggled a bit although still has that offload that can change a game

Ford's not only a terrific defender but his high work rate puts others to shame. He'll go alright in first grade, he's 95kg's but as any hooker will tell you size doesn't matter, he's heavier than McIness and a lot of other hookers.
I remember thinking something similar about Barry Beath who in the end had a long and distinguished career with St George but he never quite made it at the very top level despite many times looking like he would.
Great pace and step for a back rower but IMO his defence was just that little bit questionable and that was the difference between good and great.
I wish young Ford well and look forward to watching his development.

I'll do my best to get this back on track.

I really hope L plate does shake things up this week as far as selections are concerned.
Whilst i think Williame has defence issues he's certainly an improvement on Aitken as far as attack is concerned.Besides this selection i'm expecting the usual suspects run out come game day.
Would really like to see Tyrell on the bench & if so used properly although history shows he'll only get a few token minutes at the end.

To me if the Aitken out rumour is true then the backline decision is made and Lafai will play right centre, Williame left and the rest as expected.

I still think the team would be better with Sailor at fullback and Williame and Lomax in the centres but that will not happen.

The final decision on the team is pick two of Ford/Host/Fuimaono ... I expect Mary will pick Ford/Host .. I would play Frizz at lock and go Ford/Fuimaono though.

Not long to teamlist comes out ...

I would assume the mary 17 plus 18. Aitken, 19. Sailor, 20. Fuimaono and 21. Blacker

Un-officially is will be Sheppard's work and Flanagan will be having a big influence you can be sure.

If the rumours are correct, then the switching of centres, new fullback, hooker/s and new lock and seeing them play will be more interesting than the actual game imo.

Trent Barrett for recommending williame
Basil for signing him
Mcgregor or picking williame ?

But if Williame has a shocker it will be all mgregors fault :)
