If Flanno is confident in the young forwards, this gets a big thumbs up from me.

If we do end up letting Frank Molo go, and maybe his brother as well, this opens up a couple of paths for us:

1. If one or two solid first grade type middles get shaken out of their current clubs - possible mid-season signings/transfers?

2. Flexibility within the salary cap to upgrade Loko, Stewart, Egan - provided they press on.

Exciting times for the club. As I keep saying, we just need to be patient for a bit longer as these guys develop. We're finally in good hands from a coaching and football club management standpoint.

Surely that means that R. Couchman has forced his way into the team.
Can cover middle and back row.

Hame is the forgotten man for mine.

He is obviously underdone and will likely play some Cup to get in to good nick with his match fitness, but if he’s fit, he’s definitely in the prop rotation.

Dint know who tat means will miss out, but it would be one of, if not both the Couchies or Ray.

Hooooth still a Flanno favourite too.

What a delightful dilemma to have.

If Eisenhuth or Sele get picked over either Couchman in the 1st 4 or 5 rounds then we are kidding ourselves.

I think Sele will definitely be in the 17. Yes very under done and needs a good season hopefully a full one.

In my opinion I don’t see the Couchmans playing many games together this year. If all players are fit Lidde & Sele will definitely take up two bench spots . If we get Klemmer then he’ll take one if he doesn’t start .

That leaves 1 spot between Eisenhuth, RFM, Couchman, Egan. Stewart, Loko, M Molo (outside chance ) Lawrie (outside chance)

I do think Loko will eventually jag a spot so it’s a good battle to have

You'd think Ryan's 116 metres and 31 tackles gets him onto the bench. That's the kind of workrate we need and as I said before he hits hard in defence. Stewart was good against the Roosters but struggled a little against the Bunnies when they lifted. Loko makes good metres but less effective in defence but if we don't get the Klemmer deal sorted before round 1 and Eisenhuth is still out then Ryan and Loko could well both be on the bench.

Very interesting thoughts by the forum here, and let me say everyone, atm, is correct in their assessments.

I'm going for a bit of a different angle, and it's just my opinion re: the bench.

14. Liddle (if fit, I assume he will be).
15. R. Couchman
16. RFM or Klemmer
17. Sloan

I can't see us with Eisenhuth/Cake/Hame until match fitness in Cup is proven and we are struggling in 1st grade (form or injury).

The Dogs haven't really trialed well and will have a few out, but Preston is the player we have to really watch, he's a special player, with size, speed and footwork for an edge forward. He'd be aimed up against LL, whose defense can he questionable.

think you'll def have RFM + 3x props in T Couch, Guler and Klem (presuming he's onboarded in time) W JDB and Cook / Liddle - presume they split other middle shifts. Surely Cake and Huth make their way via reggies.

I heard the sloan to bench chatter in a tho interview tho so its def an option - although the "winger on the bench" has long been a tactical faux pas. I reckon if sloan comes off bench, R couch likely misses.

I think Sloan is down the depth chart and I honestly don’t see the fascination with him.

is it because he looks good when things come off?

Sele needs cup time, badly. He shouldnt be in the convo for a bench spot yet

He was terrible in the shield, but glad for the first hit out. He needs to get his match fitness and then can work his way back

Couchmans x 2 are way ahead, as is LPT.
