Game wasn't the best but good to get a win and shake the cobwebs. Please relieve Hunt of all kicking duties. Sorry to sound like a broken record year in year out but he just hasn't got it, too unpredictable in that department. Jethro... I mean Oates had a blinder and hope he stays injury free all year. Eels not slippery enough and fell apart in the end.

Bit disappointing, the Broncos seemed to go to sleep at half time and didn't do much after that.

I thought we gave the most points to the player who did the best, people seem to be ranking them 1-3 though? In any case, most best (ugh) to least best (ugh) players:

Corey Oates
Anthony Milford
Corey Parker

How long to you Broncos fans think Bennett will persist with Greg Eden who clearly has defensive problems?

As long as there are no better options.

Jack Reed, Lachlan Maranta, and now Jordan Kahu are all out injured. Kodi Nikorima could do the job but he's being used to add variety as a sub hooker and cover for Hunt or Milford instead.

Unless someone from outside the top 17 stands up in Queensland Cup or Under 20s level, we're kind of out of options.

Letting go of Copely and Vidot is starting to look a bit silly. Nothing we can do about it now though.

Reed will be back next week, but Eden looks set to stay on the wing until Kahu or Maranta come back. There's also Tom Opacic who travelled with the side to England and is rated highly by Bennett.

The Broncos had that game won in the first forty minutes. They withstood some enterprising attack from the Eels and put together some well executed set-plays of their own.

The game fell apart when Norman and Kahu went off, but given the conditions and the context of the season, I wasn't overly disappointed. In fact, I like how composed Milford looked in setting up the field goal.

Hunt on the other hand...that boy ain't right...

It's arguable that he was the best winger at Wynnum. Certainly couldn't displace Daniel Ogden as fullback.

Has some abilities and tries hard but good luck with him in pressure situations.

Not long, Reed, Roberts and Kahu given the all clear and confirmed to play against Warriors, Eden drops out.
