We can't win 3 straight games but I guarantee we can lose 3 straight. I agreed to work late, so I miss this game usually I get over a loss after a few hours but for whatever reason yesterday just p1ssed me off to know end I like R&W's idea and taking a hiatus for a while.

You've said it perfectly here.

No disrespect to the current coach and players but how far we have fallen as a club...how miserably far we have fallen. We used to be a threat every other year now our sole accomplishment is to stay out of last place.

It is ridiculously tiring supporting this club.

Warriors will either win or we will find a way to lose it. Those are the possible results.

Yep ...we found a way to lose against Souths, Parra and Tigers....if our blokes were racehorses they would be swabbed ......the fact is if we had won all 3, which we should have and were on 14 points we wouldn't be having this conversation end of story

If Flanno doesn't drop Cook, Sloan & Suli for starters he is not serious and things won't get any better.
The Warriors have big, aggressive forwards and halves who are good organisers so Wahs in a canter, no doubt.

Knowing the Dragons they’ll come out and play like they played against Melbourne, get a good win and then resume normal transmission the following game.
Following this mob is doing my head in.
Exactly win this amd get lapped by Broncs.
That will achieve nothing.

Sloan i agree with, Suli had 2 big runs on the weekend where we scored next play. Dont think he has been playing badly tbh apart from anzac game.

Warriors then the Broncos into another Bye. Could be dead last after the next 2 rounds, can't see us winning either of them if I'm being honest. Had so much optimism about this year but now i think we deserve to be spoon favourites. Disappointing

Warriors (H), Broncos (A), BYE, Knights (H), Dolphins (A), Sharks (A), BYE, Eels (H), Raiders (A), Roosters (H), Bulldogs (A), Cowboys (A), Raiders (H), Sharks (H), Warriors (A), Rabbitohs (A), Manly (H) and Penrith (H). If I'm being realistic there isn't many games there I'm confident in after the last couple weeks. Penrith last round is an absolute killer

How about we work on how we can win this rather than the wrist slashers dominate this thread !
Honestly DP, if I had more time I'd go back and dig up this exact post from you at this exact same time each year and bump it up this thread. You won't slash your wrists because, no the future is still yet to play out, so why get worked up about negative things that haven't, right??

Except the same signs are still evident that leave us languishing where we don't want to be. Please tell me if you believe otherwise. If the fans are being sold on a rebuild why did ANZAC day repeat and the follow up was a hot mess against a pretty lousy Tigers team? Our 'big signings' are already going backwards and each looking overawed most of the time...and the coach is now only able to give us a narrative a la the great Mary when the presser happens. Who, aside from Atkinson, have we got coming next year or the year after?

I have been fair in my assessment and I have acknowledged I am very excited at the prospect of Egan, Couchman and Stweart for the next decade but that alone does not make a successful team/club.

And, to return to you wrist slashing comment, by the end of each season when we are mathematically out of it, on our knees losing to the last place Eels again, giving up another 12+ point lead, coach screaming at his playmaker, you are here posting as angry and as miserable as anyone.

I am calling you out on this one. Read what people are reflecting on. Don't just post throw away lines because it makes you feel high and mighty.

My memory is bad these days but our run into the finals last year involved a very similar pattern which we have begun this year with...i.e. a confidence boosting win to the hapless Titans, a belting by the Sharks, an embarrassment against the last place Eels and a loss to the Raiders when we lead by 18 points. Very reminiscent of the games we've played to this point.

All this when we had put in a good effort and had actually played ourselves into a chance of playing finals and there was a little bit of hope at the club.

Not a thing has changed where it matters. We lose.

Our opposition, the Warriors, brought in Fisher-Harris, have landed on a new gun half back...they are well coached and sit comfortably in the top 4. No, I don't see us winning but I am sure even if we jag a win we will party like it is 1999 like we did in the COVID year...and that was all she wrote.

Terrific post and this applies to a few of the other renown apologists on here too.
