We should look to take advantage of Capewell in the centres, I hope he'll be up against Holmes. Metcalf is hitting some top notch form, wish we had him. Excited for Loko's debut, hopefully a 15min impact stint.

We need more support play on breaks rather than just Kyle & Gutho. Sloan should be backing up too, that's been a pet peeve of mine. He doesn't move off his wing, either through instructions or a lack of desire/footy iq. One last chance for him imo.

I think the dragons can win but Warriors might grind us out. I hope we continue offloading the ball to disrupt opposition defence since we don't have middles that regularly make big meters.
Warriors errors are at a minimum. Due to only having a squad that sits around 11 to 15 in quality, we need the opposition to not complete their sets. We struggle with teams that control possession and the Warriors were exceptional in the wet with ball control and discipline.

“2-3 seasons is plenty of time and I would also remind that you no one on the forum suggested Flanagan needed more time than this from the beginning, nor should they now.”

There it is 2/3 seasons is enough , I agree but you want him punted now. You are death riding him and the club. Guess what if he is unsuccessful it will be another 3/4 years at least before we have any success.

Get a room you two !!

If it's any consolation, as a Warriors fan - a lot of these comments are very familiar.

We are in a purple patch at the moment, but that is very very rare for us as you probably already know (only made the finals series twice since our last grand final in 2011), and we too have a knack of getting the knives out for our coaches when things aren't working (including Webster pretty early on last year about his selections/bench use even after the golden run of 2023).

Can never underestimate the Dragons, you've historically been the bogiest of teams for us along with Manly, hell one of my most miserable live experiences was seeing Dragons annihilate us 36-0 in horizontal rain here in Wellington hah!

Good luck for the weekend, I reckon it'll be close whichever way the final result goes.

Are you replying to yourself in the positive from your many accounts. I'm Hornby, KingFlanno7, Saintmar........all one and the same. All deathriding Flanno in the hope Dean Young becomes Head Coach. All these accounts only show themselves after losses and all obsessed with blaming Flanno for everything bad. Never give credit for anything good. Broken recored....ad nauseum. Every post is about the same bxllshit

How many beltings did we cop last year? I think it was 3 by this time. The losses against ordinary teams was more of VERY poor game management . Though be happy we were in a position to win! YES we didn’t win & should have though school boys errors
Not sure how that’s a coaches problem.
Sua hasn’t improved under Flanno!! Please!! He f**king made origin after years absence.
Sloan’s defence HAS improved besides the weekend.
Coaching staff have even admitted themselves that they still haven’t found the perfect combo for liddle + cook yet! Though I think on the weekend when it was a direct swap it worked well! So let’s see what happens.
Like all these
Noone cares.

Well you must because you replied.

And it’s definetly not a new thing either. We have always struggled with teams with quick play the balls and as you mentioned controlling that possession

Funny- no one suggests Jaidyn Campbell not play NRL for the Gold Coast and he is about the same height and weight (6 feet and 80 Kgs) as Ramsay is now. Ramsay was 90 kgs before his illness.
Oh dude. You need to put these things into context. Comparing a fully fit Campbell who can eat and maintain a normal diet and weight to a (still) recovering Ramsey is not the way to go. @TheRev has a post below yours that explains the situation perfectly. Read and learn.

Good luck on Saturday. The resurgence of the Warriors is great for the game and with pasifika players choosing to play for their ancestors country instead of NZ, it is important that NZ rugby league remains strong.
I don't think anyone would begrudge seeing the Warriors win a comp and the 2025 team is a likeable bunch.
As for Saturday if the Warriors win I hope Dragons have made them earn it with no serious injuries and no foul play (I doubt the latter because both teams don't have dirty players).

because we’re in a rebuilding stage? These notoriously take time and with a new coach we would have to restart the process.
Ah yes, rebuilding from those almighty highs we reached in 2018 under Mary's tutelage where we were '81 mins away from a grand final'.

Flanagan has been revered by many on here as the experienced, premiership winning coach we needed to correct course.
I still remember a notable apologist on here saying how the new coach would have an immediate impact, how everything changes with Flanno gets here etc.
Unfortunately none of those expectations/predictions have come about and now seemingly the apologist rhetoric is that we're in a rebuilding stage and Flanagan now needs a number of years to fix things.

Flanagan was given three years which is plenty of time to get the best out of the team. If we continue on this downward trajectory, serious questions will be asked in to next season and if/when that ends with him being sacked, we will know these last three years have been a complete waste.

Was it last year when we had a top win at the Gong v them?

Ramsey is different to Campbell though, Campbell is a healthy adult man.... but Cody is missing a huge chunk of his digestive system, and he cant absorb his food properly.. so he cant retain a healthy weight or energy levels, hes in new territory trying to keep it going week to week.. at any point that might stop, and im not sure who they have planned as the backup plan tbh.. maybe BRumble.... but Cody has done brilliantly this year ill grant you, but i dont think anyone at the club is expecting him to go further... Flanno was pretty blunt in an interview a while back.
A reasoned reply and yes- we are in new territory with a condition like Cody's. However, each week he churns out exceptional running metres, line breaks and assists as well as good bomb defusing and defensive skills he is turning up the pressure on Sloan- so I remain hopeful that Flanno will eventually have no choice but to give him a go -initially on the wing.
