Thought Garbutt may have got a run.

David Stagg? Where's he been? Haven't seen him in any ISC teams. He'll get the job done I guess.

Reports suggest Manly.

From what I gather, Garbutt was a Griffin signing who signed a pretty meaty deal with the club yet had chronic injury issues which limited his pre-season and made him a week to week proposition.

He was producing good numbers in the ISC (200m plus games) but had errors in him and I'm sure Bennett is trying to find space somewhere so he can retain the likes of Kahu, Ofahengaue & Jayden Nikorima moving forward.

Thanks for the info Pete.

Garbutt definitely shines in ISC and is still young. I think he'll be a first grader eventually if he can keep those injuries at bay.

From the Broncos point of view, we are certainly pretty thin on front-rowers now with the two Gs out - Gavet and Garbutt (although Garbutt could still play this season I guess).

With Blair less than impressive ... it could prove our Achilles heal toward the end of the season if we have an injury or two.

Surprised Boyce is getting a run in firsts even as depth. I always thought he'd be too small to play NRL, particularly at lock.

The guy can put on a bone-crunching tackle for his size though, I'll give him that.

Seen about 3-4 Souths games this year and actually haven't noticed Boyce, surprised he is getting a run.

On Garbutt, I have seen a lot of him this year and last year in the ISC, he looks a shadow of the player he was last year. Must be injuries. Or maybe just the standard "looks good at the Storm, terrible anywhere else" syndrome.

Oates will get a lot of game time I reckon, I tipped the Knights but think we have a chance with this team.

Good to see Vidot back in the side and hope he's fit enough along with Stagg. Always keen to see how these pre origin team selections pan out. Think we can get one over on the up and down Knights. We usually play pretty well with our so called second rate SOR teams this time of the year.
Hopefully we all lift and back each other. Go the Broncs! :)

Bit worried about Stagg tbh. Apparently he has only been coming off the bench in the ISC and playing about 30 mins...

Oates is still learning as a back rower and is only just starting to learn how to fit in to the team. That angled line he ran at Soward was a beauty, we need more of that from him.
I'd like to see him really step up in a game like this.

Agreed. Oates needs to have a BIG game for the Broncos to get up in this game.

Read this morning Boyce is the son of one of Queensland's top lawyers. Could be Maranta Mark II?

Gee, that statement makes a lot of sense. Are you on drugs.

I'll spell it our for you ... because I know it has to filter through the haze of Maranta-Man-Love that you walk around in.

Many people think Maranta has been given so many chances because of his last name. Maybe the same applies to Boyce. Many people are saying he's average - but he still gets a gig, preferred to others who perhaps have more talent.

Who are the many people who are saying he is average. He hasn,t even made his debut yet. You make things up to suit your argument. Super Coach Wayne picks the teams and I don,t think he reads this site to get your advice. The other day you wanted Copely in the Australian Team and Wayne dropped him from the Bronks. You really are confused.
