Great to see future leaders of the club stepping up and being able to convincingly win minus Origin players - first time that has happened in a while.
3. Milford - was there any doubt? Finding a good mix of running and ball playing, really keeps defences second guessing (Matautia will have nightmares). His attacking game will continue to improve with Boyd providing another link.
2. McCullough - near faultless I thought (perhaps could have done more to stop Sims crashing over, but Blair made soft initial contact) and a great captain's game. His kicks found space, he timed his runs well and was busy in defence as per usual. His kick into the in goal and then second effort to hold up Gagai set up our repeat set which started our comeback.
1. Kahu - proving to be more skillful than I thought he was... great step but is capable of running hard and straight when need be.
Hunt had a strong first half but struggled to find space in the second half. Maranta had one of his stronger games. Vidot's runs were quite handy, it's a shame he dropped that ball in the back end of the game.
One of those rare matches where a team won with a badly beaten forward pack. I guess they deserve credit for sticking it out.
