After last week's "effort" the boys get a chance to right all their wrongs in front of what should hopefully be another big crowd.

Perverse, you should be happy with this timeslot ;-)

What - NO offensive name calling for the opposition this game ! What's going on?
.
Sorry just re-read this and seen that Gavin Badger is the ref so I thought I'd post a joke I got yesterday.
.
A couple were driving home one night and ran over a badger, they get out and find it's still breathing but freezing cold. Husband says "Put it between your legs to warm it up." Wife says, "But it's all wet and it stinks." Hubby says, "Well hold it's nose then."

Looks like everyone is slowly giving up hope... Is this season really over guys?

Hope Hayne doesn't decide he wants that NSW jersey back and play like a gun...

Will post the weather for Sat during tomorrow sometime...

But as for the footy - I hope our ineptness in attack last week was just down to De Gois and Henry being a bit rusty and the rest of us having an off day. This game should tell us we're were at - and that hopefully is a significant improvement from last week to this week.

Knights to win!

Edit: You know this place is getting emo when Yosh tips the opposition...

How come you won't be there, Ian? Where's the passion?

A Mate's 18th. Has to be a very special occassion for me to miss a Knights game. As for the passion, Mate I'm going all the way to NZ to see them this year.

Hopefully Aku's is just a precaution cos he played State of Origin. Hope all three play. Also hope Shannon, Cam and Kaufusi find a way out.

Match Preview Round 12: Knights v Eels
By Jessica Blackford
newcastleknights.com

27/05/2011 4:45:07 PM

VENUE AND TIME: Ausgrid Stadium, 5:30pm Saturday 28 May
COVERAGE: Fox Two LIVE
LAST TIME: Knights 6 d Eels 4
HISTORY: Played 40, Knights 20, Eels 19, drawn 1
The Coal & Allied Newcastle Knights will return to Ausgrid Stadium on Saturday afternoon for their round 12 clash against the in form Parramatta Eels.
Unable to edge out the Sydney Roosters during their 12-10 loss on Sunday, the Knights will be looking to turn their season around with a big performance against the Eels.
Since their 2011 Grand Final encounter which saw the Knights walk away with the Premiership, these two teams have maintained a healthy rivalry.
A bumper crowd is expected on Saturday for what is set to be an exciting 80 minutes of football.
Parramatta blew everyone away with their 40-6 win over the Cronulla Sharks on Monday night and will go into this match with a great deal of confidence.
HOW THEY LINE UP
The Knights will welcome the return of dynamic centre Junior Sa’u and the second row will be given a boost with Cameron Ciraldo named on the bench.
The Eels have struggled to find their form this season but after bulldozing the Sharks in round 11, they have shown they still have a lot to offer this season.
KEY PLAYERS
Fresh from delighting Blues fans during his Origin debut on Wednesday night Akuila Uate has returned to Newcastle and is looking forward to taking on the Eels tomorrow.
“It is great news that Aku is playing,” Rick Stone said.
“He obviously got through Wednesday night ok and he will definitely be there Saturday to help us get over the line.”
After being snubbed by the NSW Origin selectors Jarryd Hayne will be looking to prove his critics wrong when he takes to the field on Saturday.
“Jarryd is always dangerous… I thought is involvement in Monday night was good as per usual.”
“He is one of the most dangerous players in the comp and tomorrow night is no different,” Stone said.
HISTORY
The last time the Eels came to Newcastle, they were beaten by the Knights in the dying minutes thanks to a spectacular sideline conversion by Kurt Gidley.
MY PICK
Red and blue all the way.

This game will sort out the boys from the girls. Newcastle had better shape up this week because heads will roll, i have the feeling Stoney is putting some players on parade, to see what they really can do!, or ship them right out. We are under the hammer so lets hope we come up with goods, Good Luck guys. Parra will be tough.
