We need a backup centre.

Hookey and Youngquest are just aren't the answer. Youngquest was responsible for two tries against us and I don't think would have done better.

Our performance in golden point was terrible, they just had no idea on getting field position.

Seems like there must of been a few controversial calls then hey?

Shayne Hayne was ref, of course there were controversial calls. If he refs another Storm home game I will make sure I remind him that he'll never ref a grand final!!!

Forward passes, offsides, held player passing after both arms and the ball touched the ground, knock on called when the ball looked to have been stripped, I could go on, but then why bother, it was typical Hayne.

Having said that I think Storm were very, very lucky to have got away with a win today.

I should be saying congrats to Penrith. Your team outplayed us and should have won (did some one run over a black cat or something).

I would not be disappointed in the way you played but we have all had results not reflect the effort. Your team played above themselves and the Storm are looking to be starting a losing streak if they continue to play that way.

If Geyer had not scored that gift intercept I would been happy to be congratualting you on a good win.

Hayne made a couple of questionable calls which wouldve gone against both teams. But in golden point with about 30secs to go in the first half i think, Waterhouse was clobbered in a high tackle right infront of the posts and there was no call from the officials. Laurie Daley said it at the time but if Waterhouse hadnt have gotten to his feet at the time the game was over with a panthers win. Waterhouse did the moral thing and got to his feet though, unfortunately his honesty didnt pay off.

Also I cant believe Ian Donnelly wasnt sin binned for his grapple on Pritchard. He tried to rip his face off and it was on the back of a sequence of three straight penalties to Penrith within a minute or two. How far are the players going to push the refs? If it was Clarke Donnelly wouldve been off for sure!

Pritchard is now claiming he was eye gouged in the tackle. Also broke his hand during the game and is out for 4 weeks

Some birthday present that was...

That was our third GP match this year... and second loss. Being on the wrong end of them is an absolute heartbreaker - would rather lose by 40 than get sunk in the last minute. We deserved to get something out of that I believe, but ah well, that's the way it goes. Our effort could not be faulted. I was really proud the way we gutsed it out, especially consdiering the personnel we were missing.

But as Big Mick said in the NRL forum, we did miss Gower in GP - he could have got us valuable field position to take a shot. But then again, we were lucky that Geyer decided to go for the try (and get bundled into touch) in the dying minutes of regular time rather than go for the field goal.

As for the Gordon try, I actually sighed a huge relief when he awarded it. I believe that Wesser was sufficiently held, and if Hayne referred it, would have been no try.

p.s. Inglis is a freak - no way did he deserve that try, but he just had our defence in a trance... especially Priddo... what was he doing?!

I listened to a bit on the radio. It was confusing me, because the Panthers had so many penalties in the storm half, and didnt go for goal much.

Also, a point that JL raised pre-game - they flew down yesterday morning, and came back last night. Quite a bold move - but one that nearly paid off...

Couldn't agree more. Losing sucks especially on your birthday:D
