Canberra Raiders Coach David Furner has a selection headache this week, with five NRL regulars set to return from Origin duty and injury for the match against the Gold Coast Titans on Sunday afternoon at Canberra Stadium.

Tom Learoyd-Lahrs and David Shillington have been named in the starting side for the match after excellent performances for their states in game one, while Josh Miller and Adam Mogg have been named on an extended bench for the Titans match.

Raiders lock Shaun Fensom is also expected to be available this weekend after recovering from a back injury, but hasn’t been named in the 19 man NRL squad.

Furner said it’s great to finally have some players back on deck, but admits there are some tough decisions to be made regarding who gets a run in the final 17 on Sunday.

“We’ve had out fair share of injuries this year so it’s nice to start getting some players back into full training and available for selection,” Furner said. “Having said that the guys who’ve been filling in have done a great job, particularly against St George Illawarra before the bye.”

Furner said both Travis Waddell and Troy Thompson have some minor injury concerns heading into the match and will be reassessed later in the week before the final makeup of the side was finalised.

Good team ,we are nearly at full strength.

I expect Mogg to play. I hope DF doesnt play anyone that is not 100% fit.

While I would like Fensom back, I don't want to see him injured right away again either, maybe a week in Souths-Logan to get a bit of fitness (not like you can do too much with a back injury so he would be a bit behind in training).

Agree with Carney though... I heard he has been killing it for SL...

Huge round here.

If Brisbane (vs. Manly), Parramatta (vs. Melbourne) and Auckland (vs. St. George) go down, which is not exactly beyond the realms of possibility, and we win we finish the round in the 8.

miller mogg thompson out and carney on the bench. we should get them anyway... with miller and thompson out 80% less of drop balls. heres hoping

That side looks pretty good although I think carney should be in there somewhere. We need to fire from the start or the Titans will put points on us. Go boys!!

Just noticed Galea is playing for SL, which Im happy about.

Id like Carney in the team ,especailly off the bench atm but I dont think its going to happen for the next few weeks.

massive game this week for the raiders.

they about where i expected em to be. strange results but the amount of wins is about correct.

they must win this match.

in my opinion, theres 2 teams that are legit in this competition. the rest is a lottery.
winning this one is very important for canberra.

theres no reason the raiders cant make the 8 this year.

I'll like to get back to the stage where we could be confident at winning any game at home, not heading into the match thinking hmm can we win this.

I think Monas saved us today with his hit up from the 20m restart. Got a good roll on for a good set. I can’t believe Campo didn’t kick the ball on the last tackle. We are a very average team with Dugan off the field.
