It doesn't matter what 17 you name it's an easy win.
I'm dreading Sunday week already because if Panthers really want to get going it might get higher than the 66 the Tigers put on the Cowboys.
If our Origin players don't play and our spine has Peachey, Kenny and Cogger in it.... there's a safe chance that there's not 66 points in them.

Personally, I think given how close things are currently, we don’t take anything for granted.

Whoever is fit and healthy enough to back up from origin should be played.

We gave up two points against the West Tigers and we can’t afford any more slip ups so it’s selecting the best fit and available side for mine.

What do you consider a forced change though?

Ivan has debuted 21 players over the last 4 years. More than any other coach in that same period.

Take this Dragons game.

We have 5 in Origin
Another 4 either injured or coming back from injury.

Any changes made are done because they are needed not because x player has been going well in the lower grades and forced his way into the side

Many would say a Jenkins over Peachey, Smith/Hopgood over Eisenhuth last year. Guys like Rennings, C. Crichton and C. Smith getting call ups for the odd game probably perpetuates the conservative reputation. There’s not a heap of examples because there haven’t been many spots in the 17 filled by underperformers and we’ve been pretty healthy for a long time.

This.

Luke in particular could of had more game time last year.

Rennings and Hopgood were leaving and were only cover for the odd game. No reason Turuva couldn't had more games to prepare for this year

Centre spot should of been used on a guy who realistically is going to replace Crichton.

Turuva to centre, Jenkins to the wing is an example.

Going further back Lewis Brown was over used at centre. Ivan loves to go a player don't won't lose a game as opposed to giving a youngster some NRL experience.

Every coach has their style. That is his

A coach is employed to get results. Complaining about Cleary’s selections last year is frankly ridiculous.

Could we have achieved the same results by going down a different path last year; maybe? Only God and IamBack can only ever really know for sure. But what I know is we are now on the eve of SOO, and we are two time defending champions and top of the table.

Salmon when a bench guy averaged 12 mins, Usually when we were flogging teams. Very unlikely it changes the result, What it does though is improve your depth for the following year when you need those guys for a bigger role.

If you're saying Jenkins should have come in for Tago, isnt that an example of injury forcing Ivan's hand, and the very thing you're complaining about?

That number is inflated a bit with the Cows game last year. The point there was resting players, not debuting anyone.

That would appear to correlate with him not losing very many football games.

We have some absolute elite talent at the club, We would of won the games even if x rookie made a few errors

Take next year, Does anyone expect an external signing to replace Crichton?

Yet we have 1 player that has NRL centre experience. While full strength that can be carrying. The side is only an injury or 2 from being exposed

Has Peachey been that good that a young guy couldn't do the same job?

The score in the 21 GF was 14 - 12 in our favour. Not much room for error there. We won the 1st finals game by 6, the next by 2 and the next by 4. In the 21 GF we had 6? walking wounded and they were playing injured throughout the finals. What 6 replacements would you have played through those game? Name them

Right, so how many first grade coaches have won back to back premierships again in the NRL era?

Obviosly its easy, just give juniors a go go on first grade whether they deserve it or not and you can win back to back, easy!
