Moving Reddy to the second row to accommodate Lawrence is stupid and only serves to weaken the back row. Fulton is vital to our team but he's a lightweight and he needs to be accompanied by someone who can dent the line. Lawrence's inclusion in the team is disappointing but not unexpected. He'd be better off playing State Cup where he can work his way back into form.

As for the interchange bench, Thompson has done nothing to warrant selection and Spence is awfulness-incarnate. It's as if he's been plucked out of the Wests' reserve grade side of 1999 and transported to the present. I would rather see Bernard Carroll at the age of 53 in the line up than Spence.

I imagine that Potter has named an extended bench to cover for Woods. Fingers crossed that Spence drops off if Woods is right to play.

If he wants to put a back in the forwards, Ayshford is the only one capable, strength wise and defence wise.

I fear the return of Lote Tuqiri. As soon as he is fit, he will be straight back in to the NRL side without a game in the NSW Cup. He can't be too far off if he is coming back since he was out helping out with the pre-match warm up

Thanks for posting the team up.

I think Reddy is worth a go in the backrow. I think Lawrence and Ayshford would also be worth seeing how they go. Reddy to me is getting first shot. I think all 3 are going to struggle to hold a spot in the centres.

We still have a small backrow but Sue at lock is like an extra prop and then Fulton and Reddy may be able to run it a little wider out. Reddy made a great bust last week out there.

I think he shocked himself when he got into the gap...it just goes to show,if you run onto the ball and position yourself in a hole your a chance of making a break and or scoring a try.

I'm not overly excited with Reddy in the second row,if anything he deserved a centre spot before both Rowdy and Blake,we also lose a player who is willing to contest the high ball out wide.

I would prefer Reddy coming off the bench for impact against tired legs.

However it makes sense in regard to considering Rowdy's previous defensive deficiencies prior to his injury. The ability to drift and cover more ground competently by Reddy makes it less likely to put Chris in a situation where he gets stood up and run around. It means our compressed defense can transition easier so I am willing to say good move.

Bodene will come on and rejuvenate the line speed of the defense with his aggression which also can be timely.

I like that Spence kept his spot. In the conditions last week his technique and application really firmed up our middle third of the field in defence and he again took the ugly hit ups.

I have really appreciated what Benny Murdoch has done the last few rounds but a stint playing 80 in NSW Cup could be of great benefit and his lines are not something that traditionally bother the Storm unit.
